While Menorah was impressive i wasn’t impressed with the runs of the main rivals.
SC knocked the first flight down…you cant afford to do that and imo knocked the stuffing out of him. The way the race was run the jockey had a no win situation. He couldn’t chase that pig in front as he would have cut his own throat and as a result the ride that should have been given could not be done in these circumstances.
Cue Card cant settle…he is too keen but still he is very young and wouldn’t right himself off.
Menorah was in trouble on the bed because Johnson got it stuck behind a wall of horses travelling the worst…the way he went on to win it i think the races fell apart and he just fell into the lead.
Certainly not going to be getting carried away with that. He has a chance in the Champion Hurdle but not as short as he is and imo will not win the Champion Hurdle of 2011
I was incredibly impressed with MasterMinded today. He was jumping only 70% for me. I think he fiddled a few today compared to his normal extradinary leaping.
Delighted with that and i am for one believe this years Champion Chase will(2011 champion chase) be one of the most exciting and best renewals in decades
People are still trying to kick the boot into Charlie McCreevey and he is gone ages. The fact was that Charlie was putting his neck on the line to introduce taxes on houses to slow down the housing boom. Charlie was about to start reining in the public purse only for Bertie to get rid of him in case he cost FF a election. Then Cowen came in and followed bertie’s lead. Then Lenihan a lawyer comes in and thinks he can manage a economy while reading the 4 Canons of Taxation at Nighttime before he went to sleep, the man doesn’t have a clue and just because he has Cancer and is from a tribe of Wankers in the midlands lets him get off scot free. I don’t get the symathy for him at all…their is many people become ill due to the stress these past few budgets have put on the Country so i don’t see any special treatment for him.
Fed up with the country….its a hole of the highest order.
I hope Fianna Fail die a slow and painful death. The party is founded on Me Fein…from Dev to Cowen. The greatest leader Ireland ever had in Micheal Collins was shafted by this main for his own personal gain. Moving on to later years look at the people that have followed him. Pearce Doherty is the Future…his speech in the Dail was exceptional on the day. Sein Fein have my vote even though i am not a socialist in fact the opposite but I admire this man.
I am certain that tax exemptions on stud fee’s where removed in either last years budget or the year before. I believe that that the Tax on Stud fee’s was the main reason why irish broodmare and stallion reduced significantly in the past few years and were sent to France instead.
I am certain but i may be wrong mind you..but i do remember tax fee’s being introduced on all stallion’s.

Aidan O Brien is doing what he can within a framework of John Magnier plan to allow his son to win the apprentice title. The horses that are running are horses that will be running in places like southwell in the near future. These horses have no plans or future. These Horses need to make as much cash as possible before being sold next autumn. Their are a lot of really bad 2yr olds in ballydoyle this year and their no point sitting in a stable doing nothing when they clearly have no future in the management plans.
On Long Run he is fast becoming a nothing horse.
I can’t believe their still persisting with that woeful Jockey on board. I am sorry but he is not up to this level. If a Jockey like Barry was on aboard the problem of settling him would not be a issue.
Just very disappointing performances by this beast.
I Think Sizing Europe will go close here. If Ruby was on Kauto i couldn’t see him beat but their is something about Sizing Europe’s travelling and Jumping(over "easier" obstacles) that excites me.

I can’t believe it. Sports Line is now in training with Donald McCain.
He was sold at the recent sales so obviously their must be a problem with him.
Very disappointed with that but maybe Donald McCain can get the best out of him….
DiCaprio has turned out to be one of the best actors of his generation [and the fact that he’s given loads of money to help save tigers makes me like him even more]

In my opinion this squad 2011 is as good as we have sent for many a year. A lot of unexposed horse’s and plenty of the highly rated novice’s starting (Fiveforthree and Micky D).
I think this year will be a very decent squad imo

I think the Fighting fifth is a very poor guide for the Champion Hurdle…its a early season speed race on a flat course. Could not be more different from the tight up and down course at the festival with a real good pace on and all horse’s ready to run for their lives.
Still the winner is good and has festival form so fans of Peddler’s have every right to be confident
