Agree with you totally Drone. Makes us all proud of being British and what a great country we have. The critics will always be there as they were for the jubilee . I pity them really

I rather think most intelligent racing fans stopped watching a while ago. Arrogant, rude Big Mac is enough to turn anyone off. Stupid quiz. Do me a favour
RUK did Tuesday and it was excellent
Revitalised trainer
Why do you feel this will be betterthan ATR?
It might be possible if, whoever he is, managed to impress the owners/trainers sufficiently with his winning style ,that they would seek him out to ride their available mounts. Always looking for talent as in any sport. Without the mounts not possible of course.
Agree with you totally Sean, and dismayed as an owner to learn that apart from the pitiful race winnings available, there is now a further restriction on racing anyway. Not running to the best of the horses abilities. These modernday whips are there only to encourage the horse and do not hurt the beast
Remember most of them but interesting about Tyrone Williams . His dad was Lennie the Lion Williams who was a top class boxer. He fought Frankie Taylor in a championship bout in the fifties I think. Frankie went on to be a top sports reporter

by del_boy on 04 Oct 2011, 13:17i think the horse to follow this season is master minded. think that will be the earner in the ten to follow.
Interesting that Nicholls is indicating his target is the King George at Kempton on Boxing Day.
I can think of several horses who will be retired immediately or worse as they cannot race without persuading. They were still entitled to a career however
I don`t think Wales two games so far could be described as light and mediocre entertainment. I thought both the RSA game and the Samoa games with Wales were top drawer
I think every game is,somewhere on ITV
Be an absolute disgrace if this excellent facility is allowed to close. There has been superb racing there over this formative time, and considering that several of the current top National hunt trainers are nearby ,well sited also. Besides that the local Saltmarsh lamb is out of this World.
VC closes more accounts than anyone. To call them bookmakers is a joke ,gutless sheisters is a more apt description. Soon as you get your nose in front its all over baby.

by Roddy Owen on Mon Dec 13, 2010 10:43 amThe British star has certainly come a long way since he moved to the states. In a fantastic fight Sat night he defeated Marcos Maidana . Possibly the fight of the decade here are The Ring observations.
BIGGEST WINNER
Amir Khan The oh-so-talented Briton has demonstrated uncommon ability throughout his short career. On Saturday, against Marcos Maidana in Las Vegas, he demonstrated that he’s a true fighter. Khan’s very career was in the balance after he was hurt badly by a thunderous overhand right about a minute into the 10th round. A lot of people watching – me included – doubted that he could survive the crisis against a monster like Maidana, who tried desperately to finish the job. The fact Khan remained on his feet for the remainder of that round and the final two said a lot about him. I still wonder whether his chin might be his undoing one day but we all know now that he has tremendous heart. That and his remarkable speed and skills could take him a long, long way.
MOST DISAPPOINTED
Marcos Maidana: The warrior from Argentina proved again that he’ll give any 140-pounder in the world hell, win or lose. That’s what he put Khan through on Saturday night. He was hurt badly by a body shot in the first round but got up and kept coming. He ate 273 hard punches, according to CompuBox statistics, and kept coming. He appeared to grow tired in about the ninth round but kept coming. He hurt Khan in the 10th round and, tired or not, unleashed a frightening barrage of wild punches in a futile attempt to end the fight. His fighting spirit and unusual resilience is inspiring. He lost a unanimous decision to a better boxer but undoubtedly increased his fan base. Maidana will be back.
I am sure the rioters will be most distressed to learn they have deprived some of us of our US racing.
The callous way they robbed that poor tourist on the bridge, beating him up and rifling his rucksak and pockets, showed us all what trash we are dealing with here. All I hear him do is his usual sneering comments about the standard of horses, without any regard to the poor prizes they are now racing for. To be an owner today you need to be a benefactor of the whole industry. Can`t go on surely.
