We are into the 11th year of the York Stakes and over this duration there has only been two short price favourites to land the spoils, Kirklees in 2009 and Mukhadram in 2013. Now the stall stats have not shown that much significance, but two stalls that stand out in this race is 1 and 6 who have two wins each between them.
Stall 1 : Mondialiste (12/1)
The 19th year of the International Stakes a race that is a minefield to over come with big fields reaching up to 20+ runners. five of the past 6 renewals has gone to high draws with three of them coming over stall 20. Interesting enough though stall three is the most successful with three wins and stall 20 has won this race on two occasions.
Stall 3 : Mullionheir (20/1)
Stall 20 : Majestic Moon (40/1)Other high draws that have won this over the past five renewals are..
Stall 22 : Squats (33/1)
Stall 24 : Ice Lord (33/1)Seven of the of the past eight renewals have seen prices between 14/1 and 33/1 with double carpet winning two of the past three renewals, never let a price put you off
The Sky Bet Dash is in its 13th year and stall 12 has won two of the past three renewals here. Low draws though are 7-4 and have won three of the past five renewals.
Stall 12 : Another Wise Kid (33/1)
As for favourites three have won this from the past five renewals.
Fav : Tanzeel (6/1) – No returning horse has won this race (2015 Winner)
There has only been one double figure price to win this race in past years.
Stall 5 won this back in 2007 at 8/1 – Kimberella (13/2)
Now into the 56th year of the Group 1 King George V1 and Queen Elizabeth Stakes, There has not been a winning favourite of the race since 2009 when they dominated for several years prior. Stall 3 has shown a significant win ratio landing the race on four occasions, Stall 4 has won this race three times.
Stall 3 : Highland Reel (5/2)
Stall 4 : EruptSo my bets here are going to be as follow.
Mullionheir : each way @ 20/1
Kimberella : Win @ 13/2
Erupt : Win @ 4/1Darren P Goodbody
So we start off with a betting bank of 100pts, with 1pt representing £20 in currency.

I still feel there is more to come from Mr Lupton, i am willing to discount the all weather run at Newcastle when staying on well in the closing stages under Spencer. Lets not forget he has plenty of speed after just being denied in the Super Sprint here last year. Got a hike of 9lb after landing the Charity Sprint at York two runs back, he could be a serious player under Spencer once more.

Godolphin have had a serious clean out of staff in recent weeks, some new guidance might just be what they have been looking for

Hawkbill will relish the slog and could put this to bed very early even as far as two out, but My Dream Boat is still even at four learning the game. Already a GS winner over CD when beating Western Hymn, the latter is a game horse and five year old’s have done particularly well in this race, but it’s the two many bridesmaid spots that worry me, but has his ground. I am on My Dream Boat as i still think there is more to come from him on this ground, his Chantilly run in the Prix D’Ispahan i think is going to work out well eventually.
