No one else like Easton Angel then?

Think she has been very unlucky not to remain unbeaten so far this season. Was given a woeful ride at York when getting chinned by the useful Marsha, and I am certain she would have won at Goodwood had the gaps appeared, had loads left.
Also,I’m no jockey basher, but I’d say Mulrennan jumping ship and choosing Mecca’s Angel and getting Frankie up is a major plus as well.
Getting a few pound as well which always helps.
12/1 @ Joe’s…will do for me.

I have had a few quid on TTT on Betfair @33’s…looked like a potential superstar for Fenton a few years back and although his well being has to be taken on trust a bit now,he did just about enough last time in a decent hurdles race over an inadequate trip after a big absence to show there was still some ability there.
GL all.

My favourite horse in training goes in this,Clever Cookie.

Have followed him ever since he won a bumper at Musselburgh years back, never thought he would be a gold cup horse in those days!
I have lumped on probably more than I should, but this is his chance as the ground has finally come right for him. Can’t say I’m overly enthused with the jockey but at least he knows the horse well.
Obviously the favourite will be tough to beat but I am quietly confident he has the rest covered.
Come on Cookie!
Not really a surprise anymore unfortunately.
I was offered “outside” in the Arkle bar at Cheltenham by some spotty oik in an Aquascutum scarf ,for the crime of not getting out of his way quickly enough. In fairness though he was probably in a rush to get in the jungle and have his £5 ew on a 7/1 shot.

I know we need to get more people interested in the sport, but I really do wish these sort of people would just FOAD.
Cloth Of Stars

Harzand
I’m not big on the flat but I watched Cloth of Stars last two races on Youtube this morning and was very impressed.
In the Prix La Force he had to make up a lot of ground on the enterprisingly ridden runner up on heavy going and he did so comfortably under hands and heels in the manor of a very good horse.
In the Greffulhe he quickened up very smartly after getting a crack from Barzalona and settled the race in a matter of strides against another smart horse who will probably go off favourite for the French Derby.
Andre Fabre is one of the shrewdest trainers out there and if he has convinced the owners to supplement him,he must believe he has a serious chance of winning the race.
He’ll do me,had him at 7’s NRNB with Paddys.
The fact that the man still has a job baffles me.
One of the worst commentators ever across all sports, not just racing.
Can’t believe that, with all the short priced favourites this year my nap is in the bloody Foxhunters, but I just cannot see ON THE FRINGE getting beaten!
Won doing cartwheels last year, will have the best jockey on board and has any amount in hand over the others,as long as winning at Cheltenham,Aintree and Punchestown last summer has not bottomed him.
Never in doubt eh?

Have to admit I was bawls deep on this one (including in a double with Don C)and, while I am usually quite conservative with my celebrations,I was doing a jig of delight across the club lawn when Nina got him home.

Never again will I be lumping on like that,I must have aged 10 years during the race!
Just watched the race…absolutely ridiculous decision!
Horse wasn’t travelling,Luke gave her a couple of slaps down the neck between 5 and 6 out and got no response so he had a long look down and eased the horse down completely to let it come home in its own time.
Seems strange to say that is cruel to the horse and then ignore some of the absolute beatings you see jockeys giving horses on the AW as a matter of routine.

This is absolutely deplorable behaviour and they should have their licence suspended immediately just for that alone.

Obviously a shame to see a potentially great horse pick up an injury, but it doesn’t sound too serious and it has turned the Champion Hurdle into a viable betting proposition, albeit one short on a bit of quality now.
Can’t say I have that much sympathy for ante-post punters in these circumstances as lumping on short price favourites months before an event is asking for trouble and a lesson all of us have to learn sooner or later.
