I found the Gloria Victus jibe particulary distasteful in view of whom it was aimed at. You are a respected contributer to this forum and as you say passing opinions on horseracing is what this forum is about. This can be done without taunting a 14 to 15 year old schoolgirl that her pet is going to die like Gloria Victus if daddy persists in running him in the GC. Scoring points over a schoolgirl is just not sport in my opinion.
I enjoy the banter we all have together. Occasionally, as in this case, clues to real identities creep in to remove some of the anonimity. When we know we are dealing with kids we should be a little more reserved in my opinion.
Maybe I am just old fashioned.
I’ll second the last two postings. Leave the wee lassie alone. All this IG connections bashing is getting tedious. You are taunting a schoolgirl.
How many different ways and how many different times are you all going to keep on making the same point. It is pretty clear the polarised views on this horse, its jumping and the GC. All we can do now is wait till after the race and you can all have either a gloating "I told you so" thread or preferably a "humble pie" thread. Please please make it be the latter.
The connections have the right to run their horse whenever or wherever they want.

Aston. Wouldn’t be surprised if it was something like different riding tactics appear to resolve some of the horses jumping problems.
While I do not actually believe IG will win the GC I have to admit I put a few quid on e/w recently. Don’t know why really but the debate on this forum has been so anti IG winning I would in true Keven Keegan style "love it" if IG trotted up.
Horses make fools of us all and the way the festival is cutting up at the moment you never know. The horse has a good engine and if, just if, they can sort out the jumping then who is to say IG is not good enough.
I think the humble pie thread on this forum would be the longest yet. :wink:

I was in Skye for the weekend and a quick glance at the Daily Record (not on sale till at 11:30am) was not good enough. Thanks to Maurice for posting my cringingly bad selections although I think Heaven’s Above @ 10/1 (very badly drawn as it turns out) will skate up next time. Very unlucky in my book,
