Another very exciting weekend in the Tipping Premiership!

In The Premiership the Roland-wagon keeps rolling along as he took care of Letsgetracing and maintained his 100% record. It was a close shave however as it took a victory from his first reserve, drafted into the line up after Malek was diverted to another engagement, to seal the win. It was an expensive defeat for Letsgetracing as he went into freefall down the table into fifth place (from second) after Kevin, Johnny B and Corma67 all won and went past him. At the other end of the table things are beginning to look bleak for Alderbrook, who is now propping the table up after Grey Desire’s win moved him out of the relegation zone. Racing Daily, Manugirl and Bob Rolf all failed to get in the points and will be looking for a win next week to drag themselves up the league.

The Championship has consistently provided the highest scoring of all three divisions and it proved so again this week with six of the ten players managing a profit. Best score in the division, and second best of the day overall, went to Xanderkir who moved into second place in the league after a fine treble saw him defeat Arnalade. Fanciedhorselayer won his fifth on the trot after beating yours truly and I’m afraid to report that I’m now languishing at the wrong end of the listing. Michael Walsh, winless until last week, must now harbour strong hopes of avoiding the ignomony of relegation as he moved out of the bottom two following another good win. Spare a thought for poor old Adrian who is only one point off a relegation spot despite having recorded a profit on no fewer than four of the six weeks completed so far.

League One continues to be very tight at the top with Jairducochetfan’s narrow defeat of Kingmonkey promoting him to the head of the division. Celticok was unable to take advantage of KM’s slip-up as he went down narrowly to Slipperytoad, whose late winner at Wolverhampton was enough to move him up into fourth place and into contention for the League One title. Former division leader Citygirl slumped to yet another defeat but Ken1 is now getting into top gear with a second successive win and the day’s biggest priced winner into the bargain, the 10/1 Noisetime. Ultimate Nightmare looks to have it all to do to remain in the League and he still remains winless while Rory seems to have given up the ghost.

So, three weeks to go and still all to play for at both ends of the table in each division. Next week’s key fixtures include an opportunity for Corma67 to become the first player to halt Roland in the Premiership. In the Championship first plays third as Fanciedhorselayer hosts Perry, who could blow the title race wide open with a win. Finally, in League One, new leader Jairducochetfan will be fearing a backlash as Citygirl bids to stop the rot after three successive defeats. Kingmonkey plays LRM while Celticok must overcome a potential banana skin in the form of a resurgent Ken1.

Sorry about the lateness of the update – busy with Xmas stuff last night and today.

Great work Corm! If this competition was based on level stakes profits, I’d be 8th, so thank God its not!

Yes thanks for the bit of fun Corm.

Can’t believe I am second when last weekend was the first w/e I have been in profit in the competition. Even that profit was only .25 of a point.<br>
