Zarkava’s arc 2m 28.80s
See the Stars arc 2m 26.30s
The correct decision imo. The horse of a lifetime who bequeaths us life lasting memories. The Eclipse his best book performance, the Arc his finest hour. Congratulations to connections who have handled the horse, his campaign and associated publicity in exemplary fashion.
The Irish Champion was his piece de resistance IMO
There is shuttle buses from Port Malliot aswell, its just as easy getting a cab down and the bus back, getting a cab is another nightmare after the arc, unless you are willing to shell out a tonne you have to wait 3 hours for a cab, have a good time mate, I’ll be in the James Joyce pub around midday before heading down for some light refreshments
Yeah, open a phone account and ring in your bet from there, queueing to put a bet on Arc day is a living nightmare.
STS must be shaking in his boots after seeing that lot today
conduit vs See the Stars, jesus christ don’t make me laugh
It was brilliant to be there yesterday, the reception he got put the hairs on end.
If this horse lines up for the Arc, I honestly can’t see what could beat him, only a long hard season.
He’s beaten the Ballydoyle brigade many a time, I cannot envisage Conduit reversing Eclipse form even with the extra 2 furlongs. I think Stacelita has been over-rated.
The only bit of value left in the Arc market is Vision D’Etat at 12/1. I doubt he’ll win it but he’s sure to run his race and has great place prospects.
As for the "all-time great" debate, well, I am too young to comment really but I did have to appreciate yesterday as Sea The Stars did a lap of honour around the parade ring that this could be the best horse I ever see.
A true champion.
well said, he’ll rout them in the arc, but of course you’ll have muppets on here knocking him at every chance, "zarkava would roast him" blah blah blah
Sea the Stars performed like only the Great horses can on ground that was not to his liking! He proved me wrong and is defineately deserving of plaudits of greatness,if he is truly Dancing Brave class he has to win the Arc! No other race will give him the credit of a true Great! IMO
yes, unless he wins the arc he’ll be seen as rubbish, and quite rightly so
See the stars will piss the arc if he runs
Heading up from Clare in the morning to see the champ, hope he does it
Sea the Stars ‘likely to run’ in the Tattersalls Millions Irish Champion Stakes – John Oxx. Having walked the course at Leopardstown this evening, trainer John Oxx declared that he was happy with the condition of the track and that Sea the Stars is a… ‘likely runner’ in the Tattersalls Millions Irish Champion Stakes tomorrow unless there is unexpected rainfall which might change the ground conditions.
I reckon there is virtually no chance of STS turning up, its been raining here for a month and the long range forecast for next week is rain every day
Watched it a few times again, Its very impressive the way he picked up MCM when he had and breezed past him, this is a really good one
Won easily in the end, will never trounce a field, just does enough, different class
The Arc is back on the agenda for STS
