Thanks guys.
I’ve heard good things about Braddocks book and having trawled through celebrity q&a’s on here, note that Dr. Peter seems to like it.
Obviously if it proves to be too much of an itellectual wrestle, I’ll opt for the one with the nice pictures-Do you know if they’re in colour??
No probs mate
I can’t do them everyday, but will endeavour to help as time (and Mrs. Garvee:biggrin: ) permits.
Checking any sort of list day in day out is enough to boggle anyone’s head, so good on you for putting them up each day.
PS I couldn’t find any at Wolves either.
Des,
I wasn’t sure, so erred on the side of caution-Just as well!!
Saturday.
I agree with the ones you’ve put up, but I’ve got the following as well:-
Lingfield
3.00 Francis Cadell-trained by David Loder
Loder is on the list as 3yo AND older horses-3.00 is a 3yo race
5.35 Dance on the Top
Admiral Compton
both trained by JR Boyle-list says 4yo+ h/cps
5.35 is a 4yo+ hcp.
How about Chimali in the 2.25?
Trained by JR Boyle
The list says JR Boyle 4yo+ H/cps
This race is a 3y0+ hcp but Chimali at 4yo is the youngest.
would this qualify?

Des
How about Ruby Sunrise in the 2.50?
Trained by Gay Kellaway-3yo and older maiden races only.
2.50 is a 3yo+ maiden.

AND seems to be the relevant word.
Dave
Received the spreadsheet and have sent you an e-mail-I think!!- Microsoft Outlook being a bit tempremental!!
If you didn’t get it , please accept my thanks.
Regards
Garvee

Dave , thanks for explaining the way to factor in class-I know you mentioned it before when talking about AM. but this explanation has made it a lot clearer and given me something to work with.
Thank you both once again.
Kind Regards
Garvee
Blimey!! Long time since I posted on here!
Really interesting thread-With regard producing prices from ratings , I don’t know if the following link is of any use to you
http://www.thesaturdaysteeplechase.co.uk/.
If you click on their DIY race, you are presented with a calculator that will turn the ratings into "true odds" and from there it’s fairly simple to frame your own prices.I’ve used it quite a few times (with some success) simply by inputting the aforementioned Mr. Massey’s ratings.
Anyway, just a thought and apologies if you’re already familiar with this site or if I’ve breached site rules by mentioning it.
All the best.
Sorry Steve
2 u/p’s and a 3rd-Looks like I’ve put the kiss of death on it!
Garvee:angry:
Steve
Certainly did!! Well done with this. I make Greta D’Argent in 12-45 a selection today.
Regards
Garvee:biggrin:
Steve
Sorry my mistake-I was taking SF to be spotform horse instead of "strongly fancied"-Whoops!
Garvee:o
Steve
Was Sharp Seal in 1-15 at Fontwell a selection?
Regards
Garvee;)
It left me with the feeling that I’d very much like to go to bed with Gay Kellaway!
I’ll get my coat!!
Garvee:cool:
Sorry boys,
But I think that’s a bit unfair slagging off Gummy racing. The one forum is still free to existing members and the other forum is free to all-Plenty of high quality information on the site if you’re prepared to look around.
Personally, I’ve always found them very useful and have never paid a penny.
Garvee
