– I also have been a big, big fan of Nigel Taylor’s Formcast for many a year, my only beef being is that sometimes it feels like he goes missing (which he may well do, holidays etc,) and then the results drop off.
Have you also found this?
Yes, Billion, I have…..but rather than switch to another source of ratings for my little method I just reduce stakes until normal service is restored. As you say, he must take the occasional break and this is definitely noticeable. I just hope that in the longer term he is passing on his undoubted expertise and methodology should he ever decide to retire, God Forbid!

Man after my own heart
DOLUS
, I refuse to buy the Racing Post and hate paying 50p for the Daily Depression (Mail) but it could be a false economy.
.
50P for Formcast is fine by me but I wish my wife would desist from reading the rest of it to me!

FWIW Over many years I’ve found that Nigel Taylor’s Formcast Ratings in the Daily Mail are vastly superior to any other commercial or newspaper ratings.

Perhaps RFC could prevail upon Radio 5 to update racing results hourly (or more) every day to remind listeners that there’s more to life than Premier League football and that racing still exists.
Even during Cheltenham if you tune in late they don’t update the results.

Back to form and a climb up the table for Acadmey as they romped to a 7-1 home win over Rothes.
Goalscorers were Craig Shearer, Alex ‘Chopper’ Lamb, Richard McAdie got two but pride of place went to new signing Sam MacKay who grabbed a hat-trick and made himself an instant hit with the Harmsworth Park regulars.
Great result….hopefully a really entertaining encounter unlike most Premier League games. I’m very much in favour of supporting and promoting Non-League Football…..real football, real fans…..Good Luck Accies.

Why is he not at Ascot? Isn’t he freelance now – can’t believe nobody wanted to use him there
Its a bit more difficult to ride winners in fields of 20+ than the miserable numbers at Musselburgh.
I suspect the horses had as much to do with the successes as the jockey, only one of the five wasn’t first or second favourite in the Post.
There’s plenty of meetings composed of small fields but how often does a jockey win five out of five even aboard fancied rides. I think Darryll deserves a lot of credit for his performance. Top Man, Dazzler….Quality!

No…but I do follow their ratings compilers with some success.
Currently, the Daily Express and the Guardian are the most effective IMHO.Powered by Linux
