no, ever since Dawn Run lost her life there, I’ve something against France jump racing…

no…he’ll get all the time he needs… no rush there…
that’s why he didn’t run yesterday Gerald…
and, just to say it’s a bit bad that you have to be registered to look at all the races on the BHA site…

he’s a bit onepaced…and begging for a trip, got to be 2 miles 2+ otherwise he’ll always get done…we’ll have to take on the older horses…anything from good to heavy is ok…firm is no go, although he handles it, I’m be too frightened of him getting jarred up.
thanks ap…races for him are few and far between , looks like in England as well as Ireland… yes Gerald in a way you’re right… we will have to take on older horses, but certainly not the big guns.
He is still entitled to run in novices, just none over the right distance for him, except 4 year old +.
Gerald, have you ever been to the races in Ireland? there’s no such thing as free food and drink…

oh thanks…not as advanced as the Irish site… It would just interest me for Hurdle races 4 year olds only 2 1/4 to 2 1/2 miles. He is a winner in Ireland and was 3rd on his debut this season 4 weeks ago in a Grade C Handicap Hurdle behind Tilabay, so we’d have to be looking at a bit better prize money, within the next 10 days or so.
thanks.
we didn’t declare Der Spieler once we knew the other 2 would run, just frightened of being a good 2nd or 3rd. but now we’ve got no options at all other than running him against older horse..

anyone got a list to the races in England? I can’t seem to find one…by HRI Ireland there’s a summary till end of the year…
would help, thanks…
just entered my horse Der Spieler in a novice hurdle at Limerick this Sunday…entries iclude Jumbo Rio, Tharawaat and Tilabay…
…crikey, it’s only a novice…
the site is very fast for me now …thanks
If I’m not mistaken Ostland is entered fot the Tattersalls horses in training sales. No idea what he’s worth really. Having won a bad listed hurdle race in Baden baden on his debut, this would mean him having to carry big penalties in novice races in England wouldn’t it?
AngloGerm…I like it…

the site is very, very, very slow for me I’m afraid. I know I don’t post much anyway and am very new to TRF, but I won’t have the patience nor time at the rate this is going. Hope it gets better, cos I love reading here…great site.
Regards
Beverly
seems unbelievable really…would need to see the head on view.
you’re right Darren, he will eventually be a 3 miler and a chaser (all what he’s doing now is a bonus really, over the distance), it’s just at the moment we are so limited..most 4 year olds only are over 2 miles, and we want to keep him to his own age group if we can. we’ve got a novice hurdle for 4 yo only lined up for him in a few weeks over 2 mile 2, which will definitely suit him better.
Just seen Ostland, afraid he’s not a natural jumper..jmo…and having won a listed race on his debut in Germany, well, where would you take him next.
gee, thanks for your faith in Der Spieler Darren, hope you’re right…
…there’s certainly improvement to come from him after his last run. The Summer break has done him really well. Thanks Darren and Gerald,,,
it was a fantastic day, the sun shone down on us (21 degrees) and he absolutely pinged every hurdle. He had a bit of weight on him after the rest, which is good because he tended to be too lean before. I’m sure he’ll come on for this and we are delighted. just going off to see him now..

Thanks Darren,
yes I got my flight changed..flying out tomorrow morning. I mean, if one gets the chance to go to Listowel, then I want to enjoy the whole day and have a drink with my brother and sister…
