well, if racing is off tomorrow, he’s travelling back home and not going to Plumpton…

it’s a hot race tomorrow if it takes place, but, I don’t think he’ll embarass us. He’s thriving and has even strengthened since Kempton.

we’ve entered him at Plumpton on Monday, but to be honest, the race looks harder than the one on Thursday..and a lot less prize money at stake.

Thanks Gerald and good morning… I think Huntingdon has a small chance of going ahead, but, it is looking gloomy. Our horse has to start on his travels tomorrow morning, hopefully more will be known by then. And, he has a fair way to come..we haven’t booked any flights yet, and so we’ll probably be left to watch it on the Internet,

He also ran in Baden Baden (albeit disappointing) which is a left handed track..

Der Spieler doesn’t have any quirks at all…he is in actual fact very laid back. He got left flatfooted at Kempton, and seeing as Huntingdon is a similar track, he’s more likely to be ridden closer up. Now, Cheltenham would be a track he’d like in my opinion. But, that all depends on Huntingdon. Dresden is a right handed track, he’s so laidback though, lefthanded wouldn’t bother him at all. He did disappoint on the flat in Germany as a 3 year old, but since we’ve had him he’s done nothing wrong.

depending on how he runs on Thursday…Fred Winter isn’t an option (need 3 runs), and that doesn’t come into question for Der Spieler..

Once more a fantastic event…they certainly know how to get the adrenalin flowing. A great and much deserved win for MEAULNES DU CORTA, quite an easy victory in the end. Offshore Dream never really featured, Exploit Caf wasn’t 100% ( comment from trainer, before the race ) and to win these kind of races you have to be 110%. QUALITA BOURBON ran a brave race to be third, had her nose in the wind for most of the distance, and wobbling a bit around the last bend, otherwise she would most probably habe been second and a lot closer to the winner. This will have took a lot out of her in my opinion. NOUBA DU SAPTEL ran on well to be second.
