Thanks for "Der Spieler"… a true gentleman..
very sad…

never to be forgotten…RIP.
very tragic…my thoughts go out to his family and friends. RIP.
yes, we were in Dortmund Darren…once more a disappointing run from Rose’n Guns…
Well, Flipper has just finished a tailed off 5th of 6th, 40 lengths behind the winner, Bucked Off, trained by Christian. I guess it’s a case of watch this space as to where Flipper goes next.
not surprising on the hard sand track…apparantly he’s to have one more run in England, before going for the Champion Chase in Cheltenham…reaching for the stars, nochance, but jmo…

which poster…

what threads…

I presume he was Flippers sire?
yes…Big Shuffle though was a massive success all round…
second again…. I’m starting to pull my hair out…

no, once more he did us proud, and came out of the race in fine fettle, which is the main thing. He jumps like a stag…unbelievable.
looking to Ireland JP (apart from the good ones), has a lot of very moderate horses. it’s hard to win races with bad’uns. I’d be taking a deeper look as to where he gets them all from. don’t think any trainer is at fault.jmo.
thanks rory..
no Coral Cup for Der Spieler Gerald…think 2m – 2m 2f is his limit at the moment.
he’s come out of the race fine…handicappers upped him 6 pounds..
there is a race called the Vincent O’Brien handicap hurdle, what kind of Irish handicap mark would you need to get into that?
could be making a quick return to the track, but only if he gives us the right vibes…
Unlucky with the list’s, Der Spieler (AngloGerman) at Navan yesterday. Beaten a short head at 18/1 on BF.
Wasn’t it just! And that after all of Bev’s fastidious searching for the perfect 4yo hurdle on the perfect going. Just ten yards shorter to travel and it would have been mission accomplished. Arsington Sodmonster.

it was a heartbreaker…was so hoping my dad could lead him in…still, we were happy enough with him…

gone up 17 today… he’ll probably put him up a couple more..
yes, I was there with the down the field Der Spieler..

unbelievable how the winner won, yes, he will get hammered, but he’s served his purpose well…
Very sad news indeed, he so deserved a long and enjoyable retirement.
we’ve entered him at Naas and Cork on Sunday…2m 3f
