Is it not time for admin to remove some of these posts?
I don’t contribute much because I have found it is a bit of a clique site myself, it appears very betting orientated and male. I am not interested in betting at all, I am interested in racehorse breeding and racing history. I often rarely got replies to my comments and posts, possibly because of my niche racing interests.
What are ITV do again with their scheduling? Yesterdays racing failed to record, series links have been fine for months. I missed all my racing, my can’t they get it right? I have to record so I can avoid Chapman……otherwise I might watch it live!
How many people have to pause the TV to give enough slack to wind it forward to omit Chapman. If I pre-record, which I nearly always do these days, I am taking huge chunks out to avoid his silly face and his even sillier comments. I must say that some of the owners and trainers are very tolerant at the moment, I look forward to seeing some stressed out trainer floor him, that might make watching him worthwhile. He is ruining TV racing for me, okay we are lucky to have terrestrial TV and TV of racing with good pictures, but he is awful.
Incidentally do any women who watch the racing like him or even think he’s okay? I get the feeling that his fans are men.I thought they would have to sort this out or lose their business. Hopefully they will eventually reach a deal with UKTV, not that I watch much of it but many subscribers do.
Virgin Media has already lost 10 channels due to a dispute with BBC. Today I have read that the same sort of dispute is taking place with ITV and the disappearance of ITV2, 3 and 4 could happen within days. So goodbye racing for me and many other enthusiasts. It will be a big hassle to change from Virgin, as we have all our communications with them and we really need cable in our area for the reception. This is bad news for Virgin as I think many current subscribers will be looking at reducing their packages. I for one will down grade to less HD channels if this goes ahead.
The filly was Shellshock and she was trained by Eric Cousins.
Her half sister was the ill fated Irish Oaks winner Dibidale.
Shellshock was sired by Salvo and was out of Priddy Maid, whose dam Priddy Fair was the filly who Manny Mercer was killed riding at Ascot.
Shellshock was third in the 1973 1000 Guineas.I really agree about Chapman, I want to punch him hard every time I see his silly face!!!
The red button idea is a really good one!!!Because I am ill and no friends like racing I have to rely on the ITV coverage. I love the horses, I am not in the slightest bit interested in Matt Chapman and his cronies…..
I’m sorry, I am no bunny hugger, but they should not have run that race in the existing weather conditions. How can we as supporters of racing hold our heads up?
Well that Newcastle coverage was poor. No horses in the paddock and they had ample time to show all the runners…..dodgy camera work, too many people chatting and interviews. Can’t they show a horse in a paddock unless it’s accompanied with a girl in a posh dress?
You were almost there……
All three died of tetanus. Which is extra sad as the latter two died when the vaccination for tetanus was available.
Over to you.No.
Do you want a clue?
I’m not sure quite how to give one. Lets say it is about what happened to them rather than their racing.No.
This is about the horses, not their races or owners or jockeys or trainers. I think that Old Tom the Lincoln Handicap winner might also have the same connection. There were many horses racing in the previous century from what was a very strong sire line. This is not to do with their breeding.
Okay then…..
What links the top northern sprinter from the late 1950s Shamrock Star to the 1941 St Leger winner?I have been very busy……
I will try to do something tomorrow…..- AuthorPosts
