I think you have to not indulge in too much emotion regarding horse racing , the list is endless of emotional victories and "if onlys".
I think a rule of disqualification should apply if over/improper use of the whip is found.
why should a jockey who obeyed the rules and gets beaten a short head lose out to a horse that has been "flogged".
if your horse has not responded with allowed use, then accept it ,and use your own strength to get the horse home in front, like the great fred winter.just out of interest venusian where would you draw the line ?
if anyone hit my horses as thornton did his mount i would go e****** beserk.lough derg would never have won if he had run the race any other way, the tactics paid off , he would never win if involved in a sprint finish,he is a very good horse however and i think was underated by the opposition. unlike BJK who i think has always been overated by pundits etc.great ride by scudamore .
wonder if fallon will sue the jockey club for loss of earnings etc.
we have all heard tales of kieran’s naughty little ways but to deprive him of earning a living on such rubbish evidence is criminal in itself.

Terimon coming second in the derby, had got it at 1000/1 in the morning with hill’s.[only had £5 ew] totally lost my voice screaming it home.what a superb display of how to bend your elbows , special envoy was cruising coming to the last and for god knows what reason merrigan decides to b****r up envoy’s momentum , why didnt he just let the horse jump and kick on once he was over safely.
