I’m with you there Joni, it’s very frustrating at times. 4 seconds now, it was the same with Quadrilateral just did not understand the tactics, never rated Roger Charlton as a trainer anyway.

Well it was proven Pinatubo cannot get the mile, i was glad he didn’t win but then i’m biased, if he had a prep run before it might have been different, Frankel already proven over the mile at 2. Well done to all who backed the winner and those that backed Wichita e/w

Great start to the opening of racing for Frankel, Frankly Darling was impressive and Valaryian Steel, who was named after The Game of Thrones where his name was used to kill white walkers for those that watched it.

PS, if you want to see the 2 races from yesterday you can go to my twitter page @frankelprogeny.
These Frankels aren't bad are they?! Valyrian Steel is by the @JuddmonteFarms superstar, cost €600,000 as a yearling, and wins nicely on debut for Roger Varian at @NewcastleRaces… pic.twitter.com/AjWz2tTE7b

I was very surprised when i saw the news from France, what price Royal Ascot goes ahead as normal in mid June?

My best guess is sometime in June, racing will be behind closed doors for the rest of the flat season and probably the first few months of the jumps as well.
If and it’s a big if, there is a vaccine early in 2021 then you lucky Cheltenham Festival punters will maybe not have missed out.

Hi all who follow this, hope you are all well and staying safe. I thought i would just let you know how our boy has been doing lately.
He has still been producing a fair few winners since the shutdown here, including 3 more this Easter, South Africa, Australia and in America. I fear that the flat season might be over this year as things are not looking favourable on the Covid-19 front in the UK, maybe France might have some racing behind closed doors later in the season, i pray i might be wrong.
for now.All comers, all ground, all beaten
Well ap, i have enjoyed reading all your chapters, i was always a great fan of Steve Cauthen, for me he was up there with the best of all time, so was pleased to read that you thought the same.
All the best, stay safe.

Lovely post AP, bought back some lovely memories. So i was 20yrs old by then and remember it well, i had a soft spot for Sir Noel Murless in those days, he was going to retire but had a 2yo called J.O.Tobin who was very smart colt winning all his races in England, he was beaten in the Grand Criterium by Blushing Groom, he was then sent to America where he had a successful career. When Mr Murless retired i naturally followed Sir Henry, the rest is history.

Enjoy.
