Was literally coming here to say this TYT. This looked a proper race to me

All of this verbal sparring/flirting is wonderfully entertaining, chaps, although I’ve got to say that whichever race he ends up in, Ballyburn will likely remain the nap of the week alongside Lossiemouth in the mares’ race.
No danger he’s beat in either

Lot of blue for Mystical Power here this morning.
Let’s have Yorksea jump off here and see what happens.
‘I hope you’re a lucky man to follow in Tom’
So far it’s not looking too grand Autumnal

I would say though that The Yellow Clay was a massive eyecatcher Saturday. Off a big break he would’ve hit the frame with a clear run.
If you’re a Hunters Yarn fan Green, it’ll be worth keeping an eye on Path D’oroux in the next

I’m not the first to say this but Joystick gives me Champagne Fever vibes. Think he’s worth a poke at current odds.
Right now The Real Whacker is eyeballing Lord Windermere just like that Spiderman meme. That run today looked full of promise.
Obviously it would need a below par effort again from GDC but he’s definitely worth an each-way poke.
Ok, I’m just going to say this because nobody else seems to be talking about it…
Corbetts Cross?
What mark do we reckon he could get in on with a low key ride next week?
Horse called Chigorin could be flying under the radar for this.
Big raw type who could have a touch of the Minella Indos about him. Henry usually unleashes one at Clonmel next month for this. Don’t be surprised to see this lad go there and enter everyone’s notebooks.
Form’s not worth much at the moment but I reckon this fella has a future.
At least in part…
“He looks special – he’s stunning – and won his point easily. He’s the sort of horse you dream about and looks pretty mature so should be ready for hurdling. He’s an outstanding prospect, but that doesn’t necessarily mean he can gallop!”
That is Jeriko Du Reponet.
That’s the one I’m hoping it is Mark.
‘He looks special and is the type of prospect you dream about…’
That was the tagline on the Hendo stable tour with the RP, only available to members. Anyone know who this was referencing?
Chirico Vallis looks solid on the form of his Classic Chase 3rd at Warwick. Remains on that mark where he split Gericault Roque and Corach Rambler.
Top work CAS, I got on with Star. Not for a few bags each-way admittedly…
Calling it how I see it. If you can’t what’s in front of your eyes then I really can’t help you

There have been many comparisons drawn in the modern era on this thread, as very recently mentioned Pinatubo on the flat and going back a page or two to the perhaps more relevant Envoi Allen or Samcro.
I must admit that the demise of the latter two did somewhat surprise me, although never had I considered either to be in the same conversation. They were your epitome of the Irish talking horse coming over for the Festival. We knew they were good, but I don’t think any of us to a man ever saw anything from them that made us think he was (to rob a quote from everyone’s favourite budget airline owner) the second coming of Jesus Christ.
The same goes and then some to Pinatubo. We all saw and were impressed with what he did as a two year old, although I didn’t even fancy him for his Guineas (didn’t necessarily expect he’d train on).
Compelling though this thread may be, it seems to be made up of two types; the true judge who can see what they see and know a horse when they see one, and those who believe any horse who trots up by 20 lengths belongs in the same category until they’ve done this repeatedly. Such folk cannot see the wood from the trees and are potentially in the wrong game.
It’ll be the latter who don’t have a particular eye for this type of thing and will probably be bemoaning the ‘boring’ Champion Hurdle we have next season when Constitution Hill goes off 1/3.
