Nail biting stuff.
Best of luck to all concerned.
I can see me just getting pipped as a result of having more selections than my rivals, and hence more losers.

Thanks again to Cormack for running the comp, and to all the stable leaders who spent time checking selections, especially NV, who has undoubtedly heaped good luck on the system.
Des, this goes back to my x-factor theory.
I feel it is very important to use the ratings in tandem with other vital factors.
Eg, injuries, and as you say, must win situations for some teams. These factors (along with others) outweigh the ratings on many occasions.

Proctor and Gamble and Nestle own the world.
It is pointless trying to boycott their goods because in the end you will fail, and thus will look a hyppocrit.
You may not think that you are buying their product, but you will be. They own too many smaller companies to mention, so although your sentiments are good, it is a pointless task.

    And life is too short.

Artemis, do you go in blind and simply keep to the ratings as your guide?
If you do, i feel you could better your results by factoring in some crucial info.
It doesnt take long to find out injuries and other circumstances which can effect the outcome of a match.

I tend to put more emphasis on my personal x-factors than any system I have come across when producing bets. That goes for racing aswell.

    Hi NV.
I think Clever Thyne in the 2.40 at Hunt qualifies for me.

    Am I wrong?

    Lighten up Artemis.;)
I think you frightened to death that one of our systems (or all :o ) will blow yours out of the water.
Years you spent perfecting your system, and bam, Barrys alitteration system rakes the winners in.

    Bit like the stock-broker monkey.

Trends are the very last thing you take into considderation imo. If you went by trends, you would have diregarded Essex chances on Sunday immediately.

This, 8yo dont do well in this event is crap.
Even if an 8yo wins the race this year, for example, it can still state next year that 8yos dont do well in the event.

Have one her already. Dont particularly want a sterling account. Well not at this moment in time anyway.
It is something I will keep in mind, because I have noticed on quite a few occasions that Corals give very competitive prices.

Im a big Moscow fan and cant wait for this battle. I did watch the race yesterday, and I have to say for the first mile or so, Rubys fears of him sometimes taking pull were realised. He fell last year, and Ruby put it down to him ripping the arms off him. The horse seemed hard to settle for the first half of the race and I have to say I was worried for him at that stage.
He settled beautifully after this and won very well. but this is a flaw and I think Moscows superior cruising speed will win the day.

    P.S
What a change the jumps season brings to this forum. The banter is much better, and the battles that we are all expecting for the coming season puts a sense of excitement in the posts far outweighing anything the flat can offer.

Yes, like me. The fans have absolutely no respect for the opponent. A bit like the English fans in Portugal, whistling and jeering through the oppositions National Anthem. Disgraceful carry-on.
’Henmania’ is a fad. The fact that he is the best British tennis player means nothing. I mean who does he have to come up against to win that title. A Canadian.
Hes not in the same league as Hewitt or Federer (who play each other today), and I look forward to the crowds disappointment.

I love this time of year. One of my favourite events occurs at Wimbledon, every year without fail. Henman takes a beating. I look forward to it so much.
And the fans are the reason for it. Have they and the media learned nothing. They talk ‘tiger Tim’ up no end, and elevate him for a huge fall. The crowds cheer every mistake of the opponent, which is bang out of order, and doesnt happen at any of the other grand slams.

So, Im lookin forward to his certain demise, and the groans from the partisan crowd is music to my ears, and all those on ‘Henman Hill’ (makes you sick the way they go on), will go home and hope that he will do it next year.
ITS NEVER GOIN TO HAPPEN!!
