PN sounding very bullish about Politologue.

    Yorkhill V Min tomorrow…..should be a cracker.

Min on the drift…..out to 11/4 now.

As much as I love Altior, it’s ridiculous that the likes of PP have him at odds on at this stage. I’d lay anything below evens all day long.

Why do so many people think/doubt that Altior won’t run in the Game Spirit before the CC? Genuinely puzzled on that.

Henderson said he was fit before the wind op. He’s already been back cantering for the last two weeks and the Game Spirit is another five weeks away. This is plenty of time to get him in decent shape for the Game Spirit.

Of course Altior along with every other horse has to stay sound between now and Cheltenham/a prep run, he is no different to any other horse in that respect.

Still hoping Yorkhill will revert to Hurdles and line up in the CH.

Perhaps Mullins will wait and see how Faugheen gets on in the Irish CH, before totally making his mind up.

Lots of rumors that Yorkhill will run in the CC. Apparently GW has been telling all and sundry that this is the plan, hence why Yorkie was back off the boards in the last couple of days.

If Mullins or Ricci told me tomorrow was Saturday, I’d immediately go and check the calendar.

Mullins uses the words “cautiously optimistic” and “longshot”, in the same sentence. LOL.

Good to know that good old fashioned gangsterism, is still alive and well in NH racing.

Not happening, at least as far as this year’s CC is concerned.

Rumors that Yorkhill will do a BD and return to hurdles to have a crack at the CH.

Would love to see Yorkhill having a good at the Champion Hurdle.

If he blazed a trail, I could see him giving BD something to think about.

Pretty obvious from the betting that Yorkhill wasn’t going to stay the trip.

Cut to 7/1 now for the QM Chase.

Altior back cantering now and Hendo giving the vibe he may run in the Game Spirit in February.

Walsh has been good at falling off of horses (Annie Power) and losing races he should have won, for quite a while.

I repeat, Ruby Walsh is a has-been and currently I’d rather have Towend aboard any horse I back, than Walsh.

    LOL :mail:

Ruby’s been past his sell by date for quite a while now. Maybe your some fanboy that needs to open your eyes and stop drooling though!

Towend, is a great jockey and very dependable and underrated. I’d sooner have him on any horse I back, than Walsh ……these days. B-)

I don’t really see what he did to prove himself a hype job.

I really don’t think Douvan is a great jumper. He’s made mistakes in most of his races but got away with it.

Personally, I’d love to see Altior front run from when he returns. I believe he has the speed, jumping ability and engine to blow away any opposition over two miles.

On the other hand, if Min front runs in the QM, I could also see him jumping the rest of the field into the ground. Towend riding instead of Ruby, would be another plus for the Mullins horse.

    Altior is still not galloping

Have you laid Altior for the QM? Lol.

How do you know that he hasn’t galloped yet? The last update was from NH last week, where he said the horse was walking, which was exactly the program he had set for Altior before the op!

As was mentioned by other posters, Altior’s destroyed everything in all of his chases so far. If anything he may have been overcooked for the Arkle, nevertheless I don’t belief a weak finisher like Charbel would have even finished second, if he had stayed up.

Min has beaten absolutely nothing so far over fences. Let’s see when he climbs above an Irish egg and spoon race, what he can do.

I will say though, that imo Min is a much better and more natural jumper than Douvan.

Over 2m Chases Douvan has been an absolute hype machine. His jumping was average to worse on quite a number of occasions.
