As much as I love Altior, it’s ridiculous that the likes of PP have him at odds on at this stage. I’d lay anything below evens all day long.

Paddy Power are going non-runner/no bet, so the 4/5 reflects that. You can get 5/4 but that’s without the money back if he doesn’t run.

Bet365 go Evens on a non-runner/no bet basis. Some people might see that as a safe bet. I wouldn’t offer those terms myself, simply because you could end up looking a bit silly if the horse rolls into town looking the business.

Thanks for the good crack. Time for me to move on. Be lucky.

Altior (with a run), Footpad (at the prices) and Yanworth would be my trio right now.

Bound to be a JP horse sent off way too short for a handicap too – Movewiththetimes perhaps.

Look out for a shockin run from Movewiththetimes next time out. Needs to be dropped 2lb to get in the close brothers

    Not too “shocking”, Jaymo.
Wants the handicapper to think “Oh, the horse can’t be as good as I thought, I’ll bring him down 2 or 3”.
Not – “Oh, that run can’t be his form at all, I’ll leave him on the same mark”.

Horses that are first and second favourites I’ll be taking on at the festival at this stage…

    Next Destination – Ballymore
    Footpad – Arkle
    Faugheen – Champion Hurdle
    Lets Dance – Mares hurdle
    Presenting Percy – RSA
Politologue – Champion Chase (on the provision that Altior turns up fit and well)

Top weight is 145 this year. MWTT safely in, but another 3lbs would be good also B-)
