Big Bucks, whatever rubbish it is you have to say, it wont stop me expressing my opinions. Unlike you, when Im proven wrong, I recognise that and retract it. That takes reading, so give it a shot. I merely said that there is NO point in Big Bucks going back over fences YET, as hes so far clear of anything in the Staying Hurdle division, it makes sense to make hay. (Sense, look it up) Yes, Ive no doubt he will go back over fences eventually, but theres no reason to yet. And yet again, you completely ignored the facts regarding just why Big Bucks is jumping hurdles. Confidence restorer that got lucky, remember?? Again, that takes reading.

Regarding Go Native, I believe Im spot-on so far, and I have seen nothing to change my mind. Hes got the best form going into Cheltenham so far, Solwhit merely reinforced that form at Leopardstown. Again, my opinion, which Im entitled to.

Yes, Im new to this forum, but maybe you think Im new to this wonderful sport, and you have taken it upon yourself to ‘educate and guide me’?? Thanks, but no thanks. You are a vile, sneering, condascending little creature, and I’ll ask you once, just once, not to resort to abusive comments towards me ever again, just because I have the ‘nerve’ to express an opinion on an open forum. Fool.

This is a no-brainer. Didier Drogba gets 140,000 pounds a week for prancing about a football pitch, AND he still gets paid when hes out injured with split ends!!! Jockeys get no income when injured, unless its career-ending, and then the Injured Jockeys Fund helps out. But even that would only be enough to cover their medical costs in all probability. 3%??? Should be at least 10%.

Big Bucks, of course u are entitled to ur opinion, however idiotic, misguided and immature they may be. Can u clarify something for me, as u conveniently choose to sidestep it earlier; Did Nicholls not say that Big Bucks had lost his confidence a bit over fences??

Also, tell me this; Are u doing the exercising, galloping and schooling at Ditcheat, or is Paul Nicholls and his wonderful team doing it??!! U appear to know more than the great man himself.

Or…are u ACTUALLY THE BIG BUCKS and this is ur way of telling us u wanna go back over fences???? It’s a shame u arent, as I genuinely believe that Big Bucks The Animal, not the Avatar, would offer far more insightful and intelligant opinions. Happy New Year!!!!!

Himself, Sam Thomas wont have any bearing on what happens in March, as Tony McCoy is almost certain to ride Denman.

At the end of the day Kauto still has an ace up his sleeve and that is even under severe pressure he finds extra whereas unfortunately Denman finds little the minute he hits the Cheltenham Hill…

WTF??? Fist, that IS what u wrote, no?? Denman finds little when hitting the Cheltenham hill?? Please, explain that to me, Im dumbfounded!!!

    When i was watching the morning line some time back, they had the vet Bruce Baldon on the show, and I sent him a mail asking about Denmans condition, and while I stand corrected that it wasnt exactly open-heart surgery, he DID have an operation, as the following reply will indicate;

No – this is an op done by cardiologists rather than surgeons, and I am not a cardiologist. Its actually not a "big" op – an incision is made into the jugular vein and then a wire is fed down the vein into the heart. The clever part is next, the cardiology bit, applying electrical pulses via this wire to alter the rhythm of the heart.

Denman had atrial fibrillation, and most horses in that situation can be fixed with drug treatment. Electrical conversion is a rare procedure for the few that don’t respond to drugs. There are significant risks with it – the electric pulses can make the heart rhythm worse rather than better.

It wasn’t a big surgery like you might imagine an "open heart" surgery, with splitting the sternum.

While this may not be open-heart surgery, its STILL a bloody operation!! Which is a lot more than what Kauto was really suffering from (not fresh enough), so I stand by what I said before, only retracting the open-heart surgery statement.

Captain Cee Bee and Pandorama, quality tipping. To be fair, so were all the others, just some bad luck, thats ante-post betting though. Im getting quite excited about Pandorama though, hes just doing what he has to do in every race, and no more. Sign of real quality.

Punchestown, its easier, but Leopardstown is harder than Fort Knox!!!

Strange that Kauto romping home bored me to tears, but Go Native was a massive thrill, was it not? Not just because Ive backed him since last March for the Champion, but his style, being so reminiscent to his former stablemate Harchibald? Yes, he nearly gave me a heart attack by pulling up when he did, but isn’t that the thrill of racing? I do agree, the overall meeting is a wee bit dull and over-hyped, but even seeing the likes of Kauto run, and then a quirky, but brilliant horse like Go Native terrorise his trainer, jockey and punters alike, is just the tonic after what seems like 6 months of AW tripe!!!!

Maybe so, but were his excuses as solid as Denmans???

Ground was soft, Notre Pere just isnt good enough. If u ask Dreaper in private, he’ll tell u that too!!!!

Big Bucks, I love this horse, Im not criticising him?! His trainer, (who im more inclined to listen to) said he lost his confidence over fences. Add to that that hes the best staying hurdler since Baracouda, I dont see the point in him going back chasing…do u??????

Big Bucks, i was the 1st to admit I got the Lexus all wrong, but thats life!!! But it was a poor renewal….Not as poor as the King George though. Every horse has their favourite track, and Kempton just brings the best out in Kauto. Doesnt make him better than Arkle or Denman though.

Ok, i see ur point, but what about this… Denman was below-par because of open-heart surgery (perfectly understandable i would say?!!),Kauto was below par because he wasnt fresh going into the race. Was there any other reason or excuse for Kauto when Denman destroyed him? I think Denmans excuse is pretty solid and valid….Is Kautos??? Was there an ailment that NOBODY else knew of, but which u will enlighten us to???

Regarding walking the track, strange that the stewards dont let us ordinary race-goers walk the track beforehand…Which other course does???? It was AT LEAST SOFT today, believe me, which Sublimity does not like.

Denman wouldnt of gotten near Kauto?? Maybe at Kempton…Where else though?? Have u forgotten?? Last March, Denman came an amazing 2nd to Kauto after having had open-heart surgery. Strange as this sounds, that takes some getting over!?! Year before, when Denman was at his best, he wiped the floor with Kauto. Now, hes in all probability better than ever, and he will beat Kauto again. But your comment about soft-to-heavy being perfect for Sublimity takes the biscuit!!! So what ground did he win his Champion Hurdle on?? ANY clown is able to tell u that hes a good ground horse, and todays run was exceptional in the circumstances, especially as he lost about 3 lengths at that hurdle. I was at Leopardstown today, and the ground was dreadful. I really believe come March, Sublimity is THE each-way horse for the Champion. Hes almost certain to get more suitable ground, and like Go Native, will relish the much stronger pace of the race. Regarding the ground issue…Seriously, do your homework or ask around!!!!

Darren83, Karabak has ran a cracker, but the Stayers Hurdle is a done deal. Big Bucks can dominate it like Baracouda did. Theres no reason why he cant, hes so superior. Theres also no sense in sending him back over fences, as he plainly just doesn’t like them. I was all over Punchestowns last season, I’d backed him all season, and then along came a so-called chaser just looking for some confidence-boosting wins over hurdles to screw me over!! I just cant see anything getting close to him at Cheltenham.

Thought about my previous quote, think il still keep a ‘passing’ interest in the sport, regardless of how galling it is to see such average horses battling it out for such a big prize. Very disappointing run by Cooldine, as the word was he was ready for this. I will say this though; Yet again it shows what a horse Denman is, even if Im not a fan of What a Friend. All this talk of Kauto Star being the best ever, just because he wins an egg and spoon race at Kempton is laughable. Denman showed in 2008 that Kauto can not live with a peak Denman, and that will be the case again come March. By the way, thats as good Joncol is, he wont improve anymore for that. On another subject, didnt Sublimity run well on totally unsuitable ground, after making a shocking mistake 4 out? I believe he may have won had he not made a bol**cks of that flight.
