Before everyone goes thinking of me as some sort of loverat b@stard, perhaps I should point out that my "dilemma" was in fact a joke. Try replacing my "love" with National Hunt and my "mistress" with the Flat and it should become clear. Unfortunately the penny didn’t drop as I’d hoped!
D’OH! I can’t believe i missed that one!!!!
I still stand by my original advice, of "eat more cake". That’s what i do all Summer in the long and lonely wait. It’s either cake or drugs, but i’m not rich enough or rubbish enough for a drug habit just yet.September 15, 2008 at 18:58 #181158ZOME
You are a little angel all for ourselves… you and your wise comments have been missed, you are the sparkle in the dark nights of are our lives….

James McNeill Whistler: “Your majesty is also like a stream of bat’s piss”.
Prince of Wales: “I… beg your pardon?!?!?”
James McNeill Whistler: “It was one of Wilde’s”.
Oscar Wilde: “It sodding was not! It was Shaw!”
Prince of Wales: “Well, Mr Shaw?”
George Bernard Shaw: “I… I merely meant, your majesty, that you shine out like a shaft of gold, when all around is dark”.
Prince of Wales: “Ho ho ho ho! Very good, Shaw!”etc.

okey dokeySeptember 16, 2008 at 13:44 #181253It’s amazing that Python can still raise a smile all these years later.
Like Firefox it is one I don’t recall but good nonetheless
September 16, 2008 at 15:53 #181269This episode hasn’t been repeated on terrestrial for around 25 years – it’s series 3, either episode 10 or 13 (can’t remember which exactly), whereas BBC2’s early-90s re-runs only took in the first two series and then kept going back.
If it is 3-13, it’s one of the very last Python TV show sketches Cleese appeared in, as he left between series 3 and 4, only to return once they started writing …The Holy Grail.
