That’s clearly the talk of a crazy person.
December 19, 2006 at 21:11 #103195I’m planning to go to Wetherby on Boxing Day but I’m a bit worried. Do you need a passport to get into Yorkshire these days?
If you do I’m buggered as mine has run out, might have to spend Christmas in a service station on the A1 (again!)
December 19, 2006 at 21:42 #103196Weather permitting I’ll be probably at Wetherby the day after (27th).

<br>Hihihihihihi, me too GD!q
In the words of Zoz, buggeration and indeed sod.
Next half-possible racing opportunity for me will be on the 30th, but no idea on where yet.

December 20, 2006 at 09:43 #103198Exeter Thursday 21st for me and then Wincanton Boxing Day and Welsh National the day after that!
December 20, 2006 at 17:01 #103199I know its miles ahead, but baring accidentS, natural disasters and our lovely climate we shall be at Newbury for the Gold Cup Meeting in March. (they’re still using the fleeces this season, hopefully!!!)
December 22, 2006 at 20:13 #103200Will be Wetherby on the 27th for the eagerly anticipated debut for us of Smoothly Does It in the 2m handicap hurdle.
December 22, 2006 at 23:05 #103201If the weather allows I’ll try and get a couple of piccies for u David ( I know the horse is a fave of kt’s also).
December 23, 2006 at 14:45 #103202That would be great Grey Desire. Thanks.
January 3, 2007 at 00:17 #103203Wetherby again hoping to see Smoothy defy a penalty.
January 3, 2007 at 13:34 #103204And duly bolts up again (btw sorry for the lack of piccies last week David,as u know by 3pm last Wednesday it was very dark).
Wolves tomorrow to see Taj run for me
January 3, 2007 at 20:01 #103205Nicely done again, David! Looks like another shrew Ipso Facto purchase. Btw, is my erstwhile Sportsman colleague and all-round excellent bloke Richard O’Brien on board again, as he was with Saif Sareea and Big Bradford?

January 3, 2007 at 20:19 #103206Kelso on January 28th and Newcastle on March 6th are looking extremely likely for me now.
I’m likely to be free on Sunday, January 21st as well, because – as on the 28th, it transpires – Mrs Column will be busy rehearsing with the band she plays bass for.
My first thoughts were to take in a PtP at either High Easter (Essex) or Heythrop (Oxon), neither of which I’ve been to. However, if I’m skint (as is possible), the free entry at Towcester may prove the greater allure. Any TRFfers likely to be available on the 21st, and do any of those that will be have a preference of their own?
I like jumps racing, me.

January 4, 2007 at 11:46 #103209Missed most of you – with notable exception of Non Vintage – at Cottenham on Sunday.
GC – I highly recommend the rural idyll that is High Easter (although jolly hard to find!). Usually good racing although the water meadows – ideal in the Spring – may get wet early on. Best place to stand is the bank in the middle of the course. Myself I’ll be up in the commentators box – one of the best views in racing.
January 4, 2007 at 18:43 #103210Adrian – I was there. Would have given you a call but was phone-less for a week after Christmas. It was an excellent meeting nevertheless.
Looks set to be a cracking season although it’s a real pain in the @rse that the South Notts (Thorpe Lodge) and the Cambs Draghounds (Cottenham) are on the same day this year (Jan 28th). What a choice to have to make!!!
