Thanks for letting us know, Bobby.
October 23, 2017 at 15:12 #1323151Until Stilvi comes back, I think a few might feel like Celtic did when Rangers were no longer in the league :(
October 23, 2017 at 19:15 #1323181Hope he’s back in time for poster of the year! Definitely gets one of my nominations.
December 14, 2017 at 12:29 #1331935I ‘spoke’ to VTC earlier this week and he mentioned this thread.
Thanks for the thoughts. They mean something, particularly from those who have been on the opposite end of discussions with me.
I hadn’t even looked at the Forum since I ‘left’ several months ago.
Just to give you a little explanation. I have had a pretty hellish time away from the Forum for several years now and unfortunately that is on-going. This isn’t really the place to elaborate further. At its best the Forum provided a welcome release.
Unfortunately, my betting had become very frustrating and I was finding the Forum less and less enjoyable. Not a great combination allied to what else was going on.
Seahenge was a nothing issue really. I am sure most people could put up an Aidan O’Brien 2yo. Given his last two runs I am trying to forget that I did. Immature has probably become dodgepot.
The two main issues for me were the guy who was forever trying to call out after-timers and was basically here to cause trouble but by far and away the biggest frustration was Frankelmania which in my opinion was engulfing the Forum. The thread on the main section was seemingly bumped up whenever he had a winner of any sort. To me that thread (and anything else specific to breeding) should have been logged under a Breeding Section. The Frankel stuff had also started to invade other race threads. So for me the Frankel thread was the worst, not the best thread.
At this stage I have no plans to ‘return’ but hope to keep in touch with VTC over the next few months.
Have a good Christmas everyone and hopefully you can all find a few winners.

December 14, 2017 at 17:42 #1331979Sorry to hear about your troubles, hopefully the New Year will bring about a change in fortune for you and maybe allow you to make the odd few posts on the forum every now and then.
In the meantime Merry Christmas to you and yours and all the best for the coming year.

September 15, 2018 at 11:09 #1374068O The Young Fella, Young Fella, wherefore art thou Young Fella?
Deny thy father and refuse thy name; or if thou wilt not, be but sworn my love and I’ll no longer be a Capulet. Shall I hear more, or shall I speak at this?

Glenn hasn’t posted for a while. He knows his stuff when it comes to the gee gees and always worth a read- and the only forumite that I know of who’s met old gamble. Glenn was also once joint winner of forumite of the year, shared with the erudite Drone, if memory serves.
