Just to say Zome, stopped off for lunch in Banbury today on a bus trip to Canons Ashby. Not a bad wee town and Canon’s Ashby is really nice.

He was my big fancy for the Classic if I’m honest but he’s too short for the Dirt Mile right now. He’ll be bigger on the US Pools.

If you havent got At The Races then http://www.calracing.com will be streaming it for free. Thats where I watch all of my Santa Anita/Hollywood Park/Del Mar racing
It’s a perfect stream and is the same stream they use for the big screens at the track.

I don’t bet everyday – I just like to follow what is going on in the racing world and only bet in the big races.
The big news from the summer is that I got really pissed off that I didn’t back Art Connoisseur in the Golden Jubilee because I was too busy working overtime. I had reserved £200 for betting on Sir Gerry in the race, but when he was a non-runner I didn’t get around to looking at the field.
I was also so busy working overtime that I forgot that the July Meeting was on.
After that I decided not to work overtime, and just concentrate on horse racing.
I also jacked in betting on sprint h’caps until the Spring when I couldn’t mentally hack it when I had £2 @ 140 on Trumpton’s finest in the Ayr Gold Cup.
I’m currently getting interested in Australian racing. I’ve backed the winner of the big race for the past two Saturdays, but then again I was using the patented Moe/Gerald technique of backing half the horses in the race. You can access info about the sectional times for the last 600m, 400m and 200m, but I haven’t got around to using that yet. I’ll probably start looking at the Aussie 2yos after Tuesday.
edit: I’ll agree about the calracing feed being very good – it never freezes on me.

It seems Happy became Sad.
I looked at his profile and his last post was 15th April – Richard Kingscote Q&A.
When you search though Happy’s latest postings most have been deleted.
Last visited Forum 22nd May, 8 days ago so possibly still be a reader.

Jim JTS last posted 29th Sept 2009. Had to leave after a terrible phobia with clocks but doing well in Bob’s 4pp Competition.

– Had a spat with Wit over the BBC Teletext or something (also I did call him a ****, but I don’t think he is worried about that). A shame as he was alright.
Happy
– Got banned for no apparent reason – I think Corm was going through the Male Menopause at the time

– A shame if he has be banned, our Graeham was a good laugh, hope he’s ok

– I think these are the same person, but might be wrong. A mystery this one
