November 18, 2009 at 22:47 #259386Binocular runs, Punjabi doesn’t.
Complete U turn here. while I’m glad Binocular is going for the big bonus, I’d of like to have seen him run at Cheltenham so he could get more hill experience.
I’d really love Binocular to win the CH, he for me is the classiest hurdler going.

That’s my boy..you tell em mate
November 19, 2009 at 08:06 #259408Some big entries in there. I’m sure over half won’t run but already looking a tasty race. Newcastle is a fairly testing track so that will benefit Binocular with regards to Cheltenham-like experience.
November 20, 2009 at 07:12 #259570I found this website which seems to have daily updates on the race. Also there was a competition to win tickets on there.
November 20, 2009 at 11:21 #259587Solwhit will be a solid test but Binocular to cruise past coming to the last and saunter away.
November 20, 2009 at 11:33 #259589I’d fancy Solwhit to beat Binocular, especially if the ground was heavy, as I don’t think Binocular would be able to cope with Solwhit’s ability to hit top gear in a bog.
November 20, 2009 at 12:00 #259598Best site for news is http://www.wbxtriplecrown.com
Cant wait. About time there was a top race at Newcastle again for us Geordies and Mackems to get stuck into!
November 20, 2009 at 15:08 #259628My money is on Binocular but Solwhit is sure to push him all the way.
WBX.com is a good place to go but their guy is the one doing the videos full of info on http://www.whatthebookiessay.com

Won’t get him off the bridle. Early season form from these would superstars is worth tuppence. This isn’t an unfit Hurricane Fly he’s up against it’s "The dream team" Binocular and McCoy.
On a course like Newcastle I don’t think there’s a horse in the country bar Hurricane Fly who could even give him a race….absolute certainty!!!!
Nice horse Solwhit but he’s no Champion Hurdler
November 23, 2009 at 22:45 #260215I cant wait.
Will there be a better hurdle run in the country this season outside of Cheltenham>?
November 23, 2009 at 23:02 #260220With a few firms betting 1/5 1-2-3, the possibility of less than 8 runners on the day and with not too much rain predicted beyond tomorrow, I’m going to take a chance on Blue Bajan e/w at 33’s. I’m convinced he has one big victory in him, I know he flopped last time, but if it all clicks for him, the ability is there, worth a small investment.
November 23, 2009 at 23:32 #260226Will he run if the ground is soft, though?
November 24, 2009 at 00:12 #260231Hi Moehat, if it’s soft then probably not, but the weather forecast doesn’t promise much more rain at all, I prepared to take the chance.
November 24, 2009 at 06:36 #260241I think this looks like a fairly paceless event, and unless the ground is bottomless Binocular should win. If the ground came up good I would probably try an e/w on sublimity. Solwhit wouldnt get near binocular on a decent surface, in the same way as Binocular probably wouldnt get near Solwhit on bottomless ground.
November 24, 2009 at 10:50 #260263I think Cape Tribulation might create the pace and Al Eile would benefit from a strong pace so either of them could make it.
