gooooo on lad, thanks for putting that up Jac
August 25, 2017 at 15:03 #1315559Well done with Vitamin Jac…..
Hannon won the next at Newmarket and just had a winner at Ffos Las.
I’m playing my Vitamin winnings up on Tigre du Terre at Salisbury later on, up against Mildenberger who has some decent runs in the book but Tigre du Terre was very eye catching on debut and didn’t like the soft at Ascot next time out. Salisbury is currently good and at 4’s I’ll give him another goGaelic Warrior Gold Cup Winner 2026
August 25, 2017 at 17:16 #1315619Landshark has 20 lbs to find with US Navy Flag on Racing Post Ratings. 87 to 107 but he’s much less exposed. US Navy Flag has only won 1 maiden from 7 starts and made no appeal to me at 4/5 on early price guides.
Landshark has entries in the Middle Park and Dewhurst, so they must think a bit of him. He did pick up well last time and I got the feeling he would have come right away in another 100 yards.
Promising, rather than proven but hopefully that’s the value angle.
Thanks for the good crack. Time for me to move on. Be lucky.
August 25, 2017 at 17:30 #1315621Hopefully the Expert Eye form will recieve a boost at Salisbury this evening with Mildenburger.

Thanks Ben and Nath, got home late tonight so sorry couldn’t reply earlier I never take my phone into the races with me.So glad that VITAMIN did the business today
, she looked magnificent in the paddock, head and shoulders above the other fillies and really impressed in her race pulling away up the hill in great style.
She is certainly going places and excited to see where Hannon places her next.Bad luck with running up some of your winnings on Tigre du Terre Nathan, I’ve yet to catch up with that race but looks like Hannon nearly beat the hot fav with his outsider, he’s on fire at the moment winning all over the place.
Well done with Mildenburger Ginger, good job he’s got a long nose. LOL
Great day today with first 3 winners at Newmarket and a couple at York, so off to do a bit of late studying up for tomorrow and back to Newmarket.
I’m going to play up some of my Vitamin winnings on Peace Trail tomorrow who beat Vitamin last time out, she is running in Goodwood 2.10 and up in class but if she wins it will give a good boost to the Hannon filly that she can go on to greater things.

Good luck and glad you didn’t make a hole in your paypacket today Ben, it doesn’t always work out as planned but when it does it’s a great feeling…Jac
Things turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...August 26, 2017 at 00:20 #1315710Tigre du Terre wasn’t good enough but didn’t get the best of rides from Sean Levy. He was already on the outside and decided to go inside and ended up with no where to go so went outside again. There was still time to win though if good enough.

August 26, 2017 at 00:50 #1315719Ive seen a few bad rides that have lost races like Jim Crowley on Tajaanus but the horse will come back next time and repay you so keep the faith in Tigre du Terre.

Only just finished studying up for tomorrow with so many comps so just about to put up my choices and get some sleep before a busy day tomorrow…
There is a Frankel filly running in the first race at Newmarket trained by Jeremy Noseda Betty F looking forward to seeing her. Jeremy Noseda has Gerald Mosse up and they have made her favourite so will get a good look at her in the pre-parade and take my phone in tomorrow and let you know what she looks like..watch this space..Jac

Fantastic turn of foot.
Made my day…JacThings turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...August 28, 2017 at 18:28 #1316072Anyone here think US NAVY FLAG could develop into Commenwealth cup horse.Look like he stay at 6f and being by War front expect him to excel at Ascot. And with wins by Roly Poly maybe that 3yso War fronts not train on at 3 be put to bed now.

US Navy Flag took ages to get going but he has been improving quickly the last few times. He hammered the opposition in the Round Tower, with promising Landshark unable to match the pace in finishing second, six lengths adrift.
As I had said, Landshark was 20 lbs back on RPR coming in, so had a lot to make up and although Aidan’s first two odds on shots got turned over, US Navy Flag didn’t just run to his form, he improved again on RPRs.
Landshark was given a 9 lbs rise to a respectable 96 but US Navy Flag was raised 7 lbs to a new mark of 114 and the upper echelons.
I am not sure I would want to see him run too many times more this season with the Commonwealth Cup in mind next year.
Interesting for me that Sands Of Mali was given 113 by the Racing Post. That is 2 lb higher than Harry Angel finished the season on last year. Maybe Fahey’s phone will be ringing this autumn.
Thanks for the good crack. Time for me to move on. Be lucky.
August 29, 2017 at 04:20 #1316099Us navy flag looked a beast but he needs fast ground but I do agree he looks ideal material for the commonwealth cup and is clearly thriving on racing.

VITAMIN the daughter of First Season Sire Camelot was having her second start. The Hussain Lootah owned filly was always to the fore and won in impressive style under Tom Marquand. ‘She has always been a lovely filly and we have taken plenty of time with her. She is finally coming to herself now and she will be a lovely three year old. I would say she wouldn’t have too many more runs this year.’
How do we think Camelot will do as a sire in terms of maturity of the offspring?, I would guess a lot would improve with age, he doesn’t strike me as one to produce many speedily bred 2 y/o’s which bolds well for Vitamin.

August 31, 2017 at 20:41 #1316325John Gosden has a couple out at Sandown tomorrow.
In the first division race Emaraaty is 9/4 Fav and the son of Dubawi out of Zee Zee Top holds Royal Lodge and Dewhurst entries.
In the second division Gosden saddles Graffiti Master, another son of Dubawi but this colt has no entries of note and faces a Hannon horse with a decent level of form.
I am leaning towards a fun double on Emaraaty at 9/4 and Hannon’s horse Bathsheba Bay at 5/2 in the second division under Ryan Moore.
Thanks for the good crack. Time for me to move on. Be lucky.

That just about confirms what I read before her Maiden Nathan where Richard Hannon had stated earlier in the season that they would be keeping her under wraps. She would definitely have won both her races but for a slow start on her Maiden and she showed plenty of class to win last time out. I’m hoping we might see her out at Newmarket early next season perhaps for the Nell Gwyn and who knows she might even go for the 1000 Guineas. It sounds like they think she is a bit special so will keep her in the notebook and watch out for where she goes next.
Camelot is an interesting first season sire and I believe your right that his progeny will need time he’s only had 3 that have won out of 26 although some like Christopher Robin have been highly tried. I’m quite excited that Vitamin is one of those 3.
JacThings turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...September 1, 2017 at 00:20 #1316348Just an extra note to the above…
Soliloquy who ran 2nd to Vitamin is down to run at Goodwood on Tuesday will be interesting to see how she fairs and hopefully give a form boost to Vitamin.Peace Trail who beat Vitamin in her Maiden was disappointing last Saturday but have subsequently read that she was eased and finished last having been nudged by another horse whilst up with the leaders one furlong from home.
Both Soliloquy and Peace Trail are worthy two year-olds to follow back end of the flat season…Jac
