Early stab.
Lulamba 33/1 Billy’sNovember 10, 2024 at 20:48 #1712444Bought and sent to Nicky Henderson, out of Gleneagles and winner of the Group 1 Deutsches Derby.
Palladium 14/1 Bet365.
November 11, 2024 at 16:39 #1712473We are in the same stable BigG, Lulamba won a decent 3 year old hurdle in France early Oct, was then discovered in the Henderson yard at the end of same month..
November 11, 2024 at 19:26 #1712481MURCIA 25/1
For me looks a horse to follow for Mullins
November 16, 2024 at 21:09 #1713002I am surprised no one has mentioned East India Dock (until now).
He won very well today and was backed as if defeat was out of the question.
I suppose the two issues are: what did he beat and will he be good enough against the inevitable Mullins contingent?
I am not particularly worried about what he beat. He drew well clear from them and had them strung out, so he must be pretty good. But 10/1 does not make much appeal with Mullins yet to show his hand.
November 16, 2024 at 21:38 #1713004Willy De Houelle is current favourite after being purchased for Ricci
The horse that beat him Nietzsche Has, has won a grade 3 in France since and got beat in a grade 3 and a grade 2
runs in a grade 1 tomorrow at Auteuil. Not sure what any of that adds up to but I’m killing time before bed..Blackbeard to conquer the World
November 29, 2024 at 05:51 #1714296Willy De Houelle 6-1
November 30, 2024 at 16:37 #1714470Didn’t James Owen say the thing that got beat at heavy odds on at Newcastle today was better than East India Dock? Doesn’t bode well for the UK juveniles if that is true.
December 1, 2024 at 12:36 #1714506If that is the best one Mullins has got, East India Dock must have a great chance.
December 1, 2024 at 12:39 #1714507First time out for Mullins
obviously not ideal but not the end of the worldthe big question will be does Mike cash in?
1/100 yes

December 1, 2024 at 12:48 #1714509He travelled like a good horse, tired after the last. Will see what he can do next time. Willie did say in his preview the horse would improve as the season goes on. Vauban and Majborough didn’t win on their Triumph Hurdle season debuts for Willie either.
December 1, 2024 at 13:23 #1714515All valid points, Mike, but it never looks good to get beaten by a 33-1 shot that itself was beaten 26 lengths last time out.
December 1, 2024 at 16:16 #1714547Brassil’s probably fuming that his boodles horse will have to run in the triumph now.
Edit:forget that its Joseph although similar sentiments apply
December 23, 2024 at 18:51 #171616412/1 Willy De Houelle
Disappointing last time but it was his first run. Connections pointed at a hard run race and he was up with all the way around whereas the winner who may not be a horse you’d want to lose to had a previous run so was ahead fitness wise and came from a long way back. Willy De Houelle lead again after the line not that it means much but maybe the run was better than at first glance.Blackbeard to conquer the World
December 31, 2024 at 00:40 #1717089Uneducated guess, purely because I like her pedigree and the filles’ version of the race she ran in at Auteuil was only a little slower than the colts. Declared at Punchestown in a race where Mullins has sent some good horses, though if it doesn’t rain she might get outspeeded by the flat types I suppose.

December 31, 2024 at 09:36 #1717103Getting a little worried for Palladium who I put up a couple of months ago.
Since being transferred to Henderson from Henk Grewe in Germany in October
he hasn’t seen a racecourse and there doesn’t appear to be any sign of him
being placed anywhere. He’s still 14/1 for the Triumph.December 31, 2024 at 10:38 #1717105Henderson has introduced Zaynar in the Adonis and Pentland Hills at Plumpton in late February. Both went on to win the Triumph after just one run over hurdles.
