Hendo saying the Adonis is probably next for Palladium.
January 25, 2025 at 00:13 #1718790Taken 13/2 East India Dock for this.
Value Is EverythingJanuary 29, 2025 at 14:40 #1719104I know it’s not very fashionable to admit on here, but normally I quite like Pricewise!
However I was underwhelmed by his article in today’s Weekender which basically stated that East India Dock had no chance in the Triumph. It was based on his being a) flat bred and b) not as good as his stablemate Burdett Road.
His examples of recent Triumph winners puzzlingly seemed to allow that there have been quite a few flat-breds and it’s also rather misleading to compare him to a year older realistic challenger for a place in this year’s Champion hurdle.
Given that he’s just proved he can flourish on the exact same course and distance as this race, and set a Time form figure that would have won the average Triumph in the last 10 years, I can only assume that Mr Segal was struggling for a topic to fill today’s column!?!January 30, 2025 at 03:19 #1719150Thanks for keeping me up to date G, it doesn’t look like Palladium is the
next Constitution Hill. If he hasn’t improved 100 fold in the Adonis, I doubt
he will go for the triumph and just be kept aside for the flat. What a ridiculous
amount they paid for him.February 19, 2025 at 15:41 #1720885Gibbs Island for me, still 20s availible. seems to have a great engine and good cruising speed.
February 25, 2025 at 22:15 #1721390Live Conti 25/1, solid French form, a clear line of form with Lulamba that potentially makes him look even better on pure French form lines. Subsequently bought by Alex Ferguson and Co. Of course beat nothing on debut but did it in a canter. Way over priced. 25/1 a solid ew contender
March 3, 2025 at 10:01 #1721758Live Conti goes Aintree
March 4, 2025 at 09:55 #1721799Galileo Dame 16/1
Don’t think this a strong race and this filly shown promise on 2 starts
March 4, 2025 at 18:03 #1721833Added Larzac at 40s ew, can’t get in to Sportinglife Plus to see what was said about Closutton Triumph horses but I don’t think JP has anything for the race, unless he shells out for Hello Neighbour at the last minute, and I like his French form. I got caught backing Anzadam like this last year, but hoping the reason Larzac didn’t run at DRF was late arrival to the yard in autumn, rather than injury setbacks.
March 4, 2025 at 22:29 #1721883Gibbs Island 20/1
March 11, 2025 at 13:06 #1722606Palladium wont be running in the race on Friday. They found him “sore” this morning, needs a few days rest, said Hendo.
March 11, 2025 at 14:02 #1722626Should save him for a Flat campaign now……
March 12, 2025 at 13:21 #1723042Just 11 of the 18 declared from Mullins stable, maybe he just cudnt split them
March 12, 2025 at 21:05 #1723243Loyalty bet for East India Dock at 2/1, short enough, wouldn’t be too worried about Stencil running like a pig yesterday for form lines.
Keen on Gibbs Island at 16/1, form given a boost, like the price.March 13, 2025 at 17:35 #1723589Good luck Lulamba Landafar great price you had there
Send in the men in white coats as I’ve gone in again on Willy De Houelle
