Road to respect 3 points @3/1 Cant see the price holding after decs, i think it will be a small field
King george
2.5 points e/w native river @7/1 3 places @1/4Yeah that price is an absolute joke, hes going to make a mockery of that come the day, just taking the view that BDM was fully wound up for haydock (which he most certainly would have been) native river 100% wouldnt have, he will come on a tonne, fairly certain he will win this easily, but the idea that he standa up and doesnt finish top 3 isnt even in my mind, might bite looked way, way out of sorts LTO and that looked more than needing a run, thistlecrack flattered by his proximity to NR, cant seenhim being close, waiting patiently and politologue wont get home, double shuffle is the other i like bar native river and ill include him in a RF with native river at a nice price. Very, very confident on this, cant go wrong with NRNB either…
December 24, 2018 at 07:31 #1390134Salsaretta is probably not one for the Sky Bet Supreme or the two mile division, she might want intermediate trips, and will run at Limerick on December 26. She ran in some top races last season and we deliberately retained her novice status for this campaign. We’re looking forward to a good year with her all things being equal.
Quote taken from R.P. interview with joe chambers riccis racing manager- obviously they might be wrong

Hindsight is 20/20 so make the most of it!December 24, 2018 at 14:39 #1390162Cheers jack! Yeah it doesnt put me off atall for her in the mares novice, im glad there ruling supreme out, cant see willie running her in the ballymore either and almost no chance in the AB, if she goes to cheltenham id be fairly certain its the mares novice and im also glad he said they “deliberately retained her novice status”! The whole thing just has a plot all over it for me its almost identical to lets dances route to the mares novice, who afterwards avoided 2m altogether and previous in that season had been running over 2m4f before cheltenham,
She didnt look short of toe in her maiden in may (beating nothing of course)
And i dont entirely believe ruby only went to limerick on boxing day for getabird alone
December 26, 2018 at 15:27 #1390289Disappointed with native river even though he got 3rd there for me, ill likely be avoiding anything from that gold cup and focus on the irish bunch!
Nearly backed tornado flyer AP for tomorrow, glad i left it, will most definitely be backing salsaretta for the mares novice now, sancta simona is interesting though in this grade 1 tomorrow even though it looks pretty weak! But i was delighted with her today thought she was better value than the distance!

3 points melon @5/2
1 point supasundae @6/1
0.5 point reverse forecast melon/supasundaeMinus melons run in headgear at leopardstown last season and the december trip to cheltenham which just stretched him and he was giving weight to tent, hes got a solid record, he was every bit as good as BVD at cheltenham and i dont believe that BVD wasnt at his best that day, i have always had reservations about samcro, but the ballymore from last season is a bit iffy atm, this will be his final chance id assume before they finally either step him up or send him jumping, the former seems more likely to me, if melon is fit i dont see why he shouldnt win and if he had a prep id think he would be half his price, this is a grade 1, not a prep so i expect him to be ready, i hope anyway, sharjah on form has no chance, his win LTO must be taken lightly until he can replicate that, bedrock will struggle now that mostly everything is race fit and hes off levels, if petit mouchoir or tombstone win this them somethings went wrong, they are simply not good enough, supasundae is the other i like and hes a generous enough price where i can save on him which i will, think the forecast looks a nice price also so will throw that in here also
December 29, 2018 at 20:01 #1390757Melon most definitely neesed that which is disappointing, wouldnt have backed sharjah atall from any angle!
Nrnb for the champion hurdle so im taking the price now
1.5 points e/w melon @10/1 NRNB champion hurdle 1/4@3places
I wouldnt wanting to be laying that…
1 point e/w salsaretta @25/1 Mares novice hurdle
December 31, 2018 at 01:27 #1390889I see Salsaretta is holding 25’s. Not a race I pay much attention to, but that price after that run the other day, does grab my attention.
Thoughts on whether she’ll go there Ham?
December 31, 2018 at 16:06 #1390917Was surprised myself vtc that she hasnt shortened, jack said joe chambers has mentioned she might be one for longer trips but theres not a chance shes going to go albert bartlett and i highly doubt she will go ballymore IMO, so it only leaves the MNH as i said previously, shes taken a virtually identical campaign so far as lets dance, getting plenty of experience from the year before at cheltenham and then as soon as the season restarted in may, dotting up over 2miles before being put away for the summer, then starting her over 2m4.
He knew what he had at cheltenham with laurina last season so starting salsaretta there FTO just tells me it was for the day out in a graded race, likely a mile away from fully fit
She might very well be suited to longer trips long term, but the level required to win the MNH isnt really that high, so if shes good enough at 2m4 she should be more than fine at 2m at this level.
If she gets an entry at leopardstown at the end of january in the grade 2 ill be lumping on for cheltenham, although most firms will already be NRNB by then so will have to be watching closely for entries.
The run the other day i thought was very promising, shes already rated 135 and is within a stone of being more than good enough to win this a after only two real runs.
So yeah, for me i think she will come here, he always sends his runners to the race they can win the easiest, thats the main reason she will come here (if shes good enough)
December 31, 2018 at 19:23 #1390926You’ve had some very good winners lately Ham, well done.
January 1, 2019 at 12:43 #1390953Cheers kris, nice to get some on the board
Couple small ones today
Relkeel
Wholestone is such a tricky horse to catch right and for that reason i have to avoid, if the ground was heavy id probably be maxing out on clyne but its not quite that deep, old gurd beat clyne on similar terms last season so im actually going to take 2 against the fav
1 point clyne @11/2
1 point old guard @9/2Dipper
1 point black op @7/2 Lets see if this samcro form can take another dent! Again would prefer it softer but hes beaten most of these over hurdles, no reason after a nice reappearence he cant confirm the form!
No bet in ireland but hoping for a nice return from al boum photo!
January 1, 2019 at 18:13 #1391007Ham; there has to be a possibility that Salsaretta dodges Cheltenham depending on Ricci’s other mares and heads to Fairyhouse for the mares G1 over 2m4?
Obviously just speculating and Cheltenham’s Cheltenham but it might just happen.

January 4, 2019 at 12:30 #1391277Paddy power still going a standout in the tolwortg, im assuming an error as i stoll got the bet on..
1 point southfield stone @14/1
January 4, 2019 at 20:19 #1391336To follow on from that bet earlier
1 point southfield stone @14/1
Im more than happy to be taking on the fav here, this looks quite a neat little race, my main bet will be on the tizzards Elixir de nutz Hes out to 2/1 now and i really think he should be fav the form looks pretty solid to me with 2nd from his last eace absolutely bolting up NTO and i cant see the fav beating him, southfield stone is improving and was impressive LTO hard to rate the form as only the 2nd ran again but was upped in trip by a mile and well beaten, hard to tell if that was the trip or just hes not that good, regardless southfield stone beat the field easy enough and is young cobdens choice over the stablemate!, not keen on grand sancy he ran well in his last race getting a lump of weight, was still able to beat the likes of flying tiger giving him weight so it wasnt a bad performance but hes had 9 runs and hasnt improved much in his last 4, looks exposed, would be disappointed if he won, idee de garde for the skeltons, interesting outsider, would be my 3rd choice technically, ran well lto behind a horse who went on tonwin again, could outrun his price but again, big big stepforward or a few underperformances needed for a win, the FOB horse again has some decent form in bumpers and a 3rd in a week grade 2, not for me this time, although the step back should help
Adding alongside the aboce 4 points elxir de nutz @2/1
January 5, 2019 at 14:35 #1391497Very tough little horse, was welcoming the drift out to 3/1 before the off! , grand sancy ran better than i expected and as i expected rathill bombed out..
