I reckon IC might win, pushed KS close at Haydock. Both Paddy Brennan and NTD think the world of him and claim it’s the best horse they’ve ever worked with, would be great for NTD to win the GC for the first time as well.
March 8, 2010 at 20:05 #281229I’ve told you once, i tell you twice boy, that three legged mule you call Imperial Commander ain’t gonnae finish ahead of Cooldine. Tenner charity bet says so.
Charity starts at home Goldi, but we"ll have a tenner if you like!
March 9, 2010 at 09:53 #281298I’d make a better King, my future subjects. What King doesn’t give back to the people i ask thee ? I will tell thee, it is one whoms fists are tighter than his ar*e.
March 18, 2010 at 09:56 #283551So far so good at Cheltenham, brilliant runs in defeat from Somersby and Forpadydeplasterer! Celestial Halo was an expensive loss but brilliant to see Binocular show just how good he is.Weapons Amnesty did me proud at 17"s 12"s and 10"s so whatever happens now i have won for the 5th consecutive festival, backing Spirit river at 18"s yesterday certainly helped too!Today i like the look of
Jered
and have backed him at 30"s for the Jewson, again ground is a major factor for this horse and he"s got it over a trip that will suit!
Ante-Post Winners +£1800
March 18, 2010 at 10:31 #283564The Plate is a race i have seen as an ideal opportunity for
Tarotino
since last year and have backed him at 22"s and 20"s,another horse who i have always liked is
Chapoturgeon
,i am of the opinion that the faster the ground the faster he travels and being a bridle horse i can see him coming there on the steel, the question is,will he need to come of it to win?At 15"s he is worth a wager and i can see him being gambled on today!
Losers -£50
March 18, 2010 at 10:32 #283566Good stuff Gordon. I doff my baseball cap off to you. Some nice runs. Ruby set out to deceive on Celestial Halo, it was over and soon as the race started for him i feel.
March 18, 2010 at 21:42 #283758Today is a big day for me as its the first time my 1yr old daughter has managed to walk 5 steps without falling,an incredible feeling to see that look of trust on her face as she marches like one of the German Storm troopers across the living room floor! I bought her a very large proper rocking horse for xmas The Rocking horse is now called Albertas Run,2011 Grand National winner!

A.P rode the complete opposite of a race to the one that won the 08 RSA,Pure class from all concerned,TAPK snaffled 90"s 80"s 25"s and 17"s for this, purely on the fact that "everyone" thought he was going for the Gold Cup! Another 4 figure victory for the King of Ante-Post betting!
Albertas Run won me +£1900
March 19, 2010 at 13:58 #283911At 50"s i have to stay Loyal to my old pal
Arcalis
in the County hurdle! Thrown in!
Place winner +£300
March 19, 2010 at 17:53 #283995TAPK has been studying a lot of racing re-runs lately and a horse that has impressed me a lot is
Imperial Commander
.
I believe this fellow will win this seasons Gold Cup,But i also think he should not run again until the big day!Imperial is a fine Athletic, slightly long bodied, powerful horse who is a clean reliable jumper! His form figures show he loves Cheltenham,9 of his 14 starts have been round there and that he can be produced to win fresh! As much as he blotted his copybook in last years King George,i forgive him that as i believe in horses for courses!I am well aware that it will take a good one to topple Kauto Star, who doesn"t appear to be deteriorating, but i think he has reached his plateau,Imperial Commander has yet to reach his!His time will come and i wont be worrying about the ground!£50 e/w at 12/1 and £50e/w at 10/1 is a big bet for me!I have already capitalised on 3 figure prices for Albertas Run,so should he manage to run a place i will have a free bet on Imperial!Safety is a word you sometimes need to remember when Gambling!I wrote this now legendary piece back in November! Poetry from the undisputed "King of Ante-Post"!
March 19, 2010 at 23:19 #284167When I was looking at the County Hurdle the winner and Arcalis were right at the top of my list and I completely ignored them. It’s been one of those weeks.

Moe i can remember him jumping the last hurdle in front 3 years ago with 11-2 on his back! He carried 11-10 last year! I had £20 win at 50"s and £30 place at 10"s
March 21, 2010 at 11:01 #284596Being a firm believer of self congratulations, its good for your confidence, without that you would never put your hand in your pocket!I have celebrated every night of the festival with a different bottle of champagne and i"m still not sick of the stuff! My Doctor would say i"m an alcholic and my psychiatrist would say i"m addicted to gambling! I say until you have had the thrill of seeing a horse you have watched develop over a number of years carrying your hard earned cash and jumping and still travelling at the 2nd last at Cheltenham, then powering up the hill to win you a bundle, you haven"t lived! Anyway i have a dilemma for next years Gold Cup,
Imperial Commander
,
Somersby
,
Weapons Amnesty
,
Mikael d"Haguenet
! One of those 4 will win!
March 21, 2010 at 14:32 #284640Totally agree; it’s like watching a horse like Earth Summit over the years and knowing that one day he will win a Grand National [as long as the ground is soft on the day].

I had
Suny Bay
at 33/1 Moe! Thanks for that reminder!
March 21, 2010 at 16:45 #284666TAPK has a confession! I have put that much time and effort into finding my now annual 7 winners at the festival, that i haven"t even looked at this years
Lincoln Handicap
up at Doncaster next week! What i will say is if
Collateral Damage
does run, expect a big one!I!ll say no more other than
Expresso Star
won easy enough last year to suggest he too would have a hell of a chance,at 25"s and 16"s i have backed both for now!

I’ve also been following Imperial for a couple of years and this years gold cup was unforgettable! Gut feeling is Weapons will be the biggest threat to IC next year. KS will make the frame but I feel MDh won’t quite be at Gc standard with his Uk chasing debut so late in the season, providing he actually runs at leopards in 2010.
March 23, 2010 at 21:56 #285190Turning my attention to the flat,i notice my pal "Trotter" has jetted off to Dubai to ride
Regal Parade
,this fellow has already proved he is a force in the sprinting ranks and at 12/1 i have to stay Loyal!Connections also have
Evens and Odds
down to run in the Cammidge at Doncaster, again this horse can do nothing but improve,if this fellow doesn"t win a Group race this year then my names not "King"!

Losers £40
