Just noticed a sea of blue on Oddschecker for Too Darn Hot!!

And a sea of red for king of comedy

Jeez this must’ve happened very recently, could’ve sworn i looked at this market like 2 hours ago!

@Frenchy That doesn’t bode well for Phoenix of Spain. It’s possible he’s a top of the ground horse, but that looks more a guess to me? His best run as a 2year old was on GS ground in the Doncaster Trophy. I am usually very cautious about horses that have the run of the races as well and Phoenix of Spain got that in the Irish Guineas in a race that was also a little sedate pace wise.

I agree Frenchy that his Doncaster run was a decent one at 2, but I think he looked more at home
when he won the Acomb at York on g/f. As I mentioned before, he turned around the form with Magna
Grecia when having been beaten on g/s he dotted up on g/f in the Irish 2000 Guineas. You mention
that the pace was a little sedate, but it was run in a very decent time. I don’t think there were
excuses for anyone in that, including Too Darn Hot. There’s no doubting that TDH has come on with
his run at Deauville, but there were question marks after Ascot, in the same way that there are
question marks about POS in the same race. Iv’e watched all his races, and to me he does look a top
of the ground horse, but that’s just my opinion. I’ll be pleased enough if he turns up and takes his
chance, after that the proof of the pudding will be in the eating, or so they say.

Don’t think magna grecia ran his race at all in the Irish guineas though

And Phoenix of Spain had the advantage of the massive pace bias that weekend

Nothing much will have happened recently.
The bookies must have known more about Gosden’s plans for days, and so they set this trap with KOC shortening, as I suspected earlier. Lying and cheating is an essential part of their business.
Unfortunately there is no vomiting emoji offered here, otherwise I would make use of it!

    Strange market.

Get real, hein bollow. As if a bookmaker would mess around like that. Imagine being the trader having to explain that one to the business.

“Well, I pushed out the one that’s running and shortened up the one that isn’t. Although we did get filled in with lumpy bets from people who actually knew the plans and now have a horrible book, we DID take 50p from somebody who bets all the blue ones on Oddschecker. What do you mean I’m sacked?”

The truth is that we’re guessing as much as everyone else sometimes. The industry gets it wrong sometimes.

Too Darn Hot is the best horse since Toronado and Canford Cliffs before that
Always going to get smashed up, the best miler will go for the Sussex, KOC won’t be getting near him on the gallops
horse of the year, wins this, QE11, Breeders Cup and Champions League

Sacrilege on your part Nath, putting TDH above your beloved Liverpool for the Champions League.
    Shame on you B-)

Particularly you shouldn’t talk about getting real, Mr. Lost Soldier!
You are the one that lied to us even yesterday about KOC’s ultra short odds being justified,
and this is not the first time you tried to manipulate people here,
so would you please be so kind and shut up :bye:

Plenty of time for it to flip-flop again Hein

    Definitely, Nathan.
Gosden urgently should have his brain checked, there must be something wrong
Words cannot express how much I’m sick of his confused statements and “decision making” :negative:
You’re right, with Jürgen we would experience some very clear words and positions :good:

Nathan + Hein, hate to harp back to this old discussion, but when did Gosden actually say King Of Comedy was Sussex bound? I couldn’t have seen him not going here to be fair, but not actually sure it was ever a quote!?

    You really are something, hein.

I think I’d be right in saying that kind of short price would be right for King Of Comedy if the race cut right up with no Too Darn Hot, Phoenix Of Spain and others. I didn’t say it would – I just said if. As we were all saying, it looked like things were heading that was as recently as yesterday.

You’re calling me a manipulator, a liar and saying bookmakers are crooks with no basis at all. I’ve picked apart everything you’ve said and you’re embarrassing yourself at this point – not for the first time judging by some of the things you’ve said to old Gingertipster on his thread.

Really does show how far The Racing Forum has fallen when people like you are among the top posters.

I won’t hold my breath for my apology.

I know it’s a body blow when the market does the opposite to what you expect Hein, we’ve seen it
happen with the horses of Gosden, O’Brien and Mullins to mention a few. That’s the nature of it,
and I don’t think it’s going to improve any day soon. Whilst bookies don’t need me to defend them,
and I’ve done my share of complaining, a pet hate of mine being when a horse is publicly stated by
a trainer that it wont be running and yet some are more than a little slow to remove it from the
market, but I think on this occasion you are being more than a tad hard on Lost Soldier. As he
rightly pointed out, if one is pushed out in price when they (the bookies) believe it is the one
that will be running, it would be jumped on by those that knew the horses true target. Myself and
LS have had our differences in the past, albeit some time ago, but I can’t say I’ve ever seen any
evidence of trying to manipulate people in here, and in any case I don’t think that would work even
    if it were tried on.

I’ve gotten it wrong often enough and I guess they have too

I didn’t see your last post Lost Soldier, I was typing mine up at the same time or I
would have left it at that. I hope we can all just move on.

You are probably right Jack regards KOC,
I find Gosden has and he has admitted it himself that he has made a right horlicks over TDH
If Telecaster had not run in the Dante, we would have probably seen TDH line up in the Derby
Yet after the St James Palace Stakes they were even saying he didn’t stay a mile…
