Given a much better ride today and Lone Eagle just looked a dour staying galloper to me

    Ideal for the leger test

Already have him backed for the Derby though I’m not sure he has the pace for that or that he will run

Tempted to add him to high definition, maybe with a free bet next week

I’ll just stick with High Definition.

Can’t believe that Hurricane Lane won’t go for the Arc now, so Lone Eagle for this looks a good bet…

Just as well it is the owners who picked the races for Hurricane lane. Phew!!

I like Alenquer for this, won’t be classy or quick enough to win a G1 over 12F and I can see them heading this way via York. Can’t see HL coming here in a million years now myself unless Adayar bolts up in the King George.

If Adayar turns up, he’ll hack up. Reminds me a lot of Reference Point, although he probably isn’t quite as good.

Appleby has confirmed that Hurricane Lane will be aimed here, while Adayar goes for the Prix Niel.

Chucked a free bet on Sir Lucan 14-1 as a backup to the Hurricane.

I thought Sir Lucan was the one to take out of the Gordon rather than the winner too but I’d have him as a doubtful stayer as his brother didn’t stay the Leger trip.

If they don’t run alenquer here this looks like an easy race for Hurricane Lane

I binned all my high definition bets when he was taken out the race so I hope he doesn’t win now

Will be interesting to see if the local hills and fred can find my bets even though I cant remember the stake or the date I placed them lol

Personally think this is the wrong race for Hurricane Lane and I wouldn’t be shocked if he got beaten – it can be a hard race especially on softer ground and for me it is not the best prep for the Arc, which I also wouldn’t be shocked if he missed and was re-routed to the Champion Stakes at Ascot, which is run 13 days after the Arc giving him more time to recover from his exertions in the Leger.

I think its the right race. Irish Derby and St Leger winner in waiting. If he missed the Leger there is just the Arc and connections got 2nd fave in that so no big deal if he missed the trip to France.

High Definition been supplemented for 50k. Has he found some sparkle from somewhere?

£50k is small fry for Coolmore, but I doubt they would just chuck it away. He would appear to have no chance on form, but I can hear a voice in the back of my head saying “listen, the lads always believed in this horse, he has come in to his own the last few weeks, showing loads of pace.”

An interesting addition. I couldn’t back him, but he puts me off backing anything else to be honest.
