I don’t know what sort of a season Selt is having. He sounded like someone at the end of his tether.
Once the lad missed, I expect the thought went through Selt’s mind that he was going to have an easy red and then a great chance to win the frame and the match with the colours all on their spots. Instead the lad has fluked it and Selt’s emotions got the better of him.
It’s no excuse for his behaviour but I looked up the rankings and he’s currently 33rd, doesn’t life get a bit easier in the top 32? I’m not quite sure how it works though. That may at least explain his frustration if he’s trying to get there before the season is up.
Deserves a fine and move on.
He should certainly apologise to the young lad as well. He did nothing wrong and looked confused and shaken by Selt’s reaction.

Yes a very poor example to set to a young player. You could hear his tantrum carry on backstage and the referee tell him to stop. The referee did look like he had a fairly long conversation with his opponent which was good of him, although he was probably somewhat taken aback himself!
Credit where it’s due. Yes he should know better but none of us is perfect. Hopefully he doesn’t let it happen again. I’d probably be more embarrassed than anything.
I expect he was already embarrassed an hour or so later. He didn’t cover himself in glory but I do have some sympathy with him. A fluke at that stage of the match was tough to take.

Wilson is looking good, but my feeling is he may have burnt himself out, blind Dave is right.
By the way, does Blind Dave travel much, as I saw a guy in me local Snooker hall last Oct with a white cane. He used that to navigate the pool tables on the way to the WC, then back to his snooker table and pick up his cue.Im waiting for the qualifiers to finish before I unleash my losers, specifically very interested in the Chinese lot this year. The best of 19 and upwards is like a final every match, and really does need a lot of focus.
As for Ronnie..hes had his problems with life again this year again. He does like his travels and enjoys China, they worship him there. Its a great place to play any cue sports, Ive had many fantastic nights win loose or draw playing locals..with a lot of beers..and for beers or stronger..
Not long now though, to see a great two weeks of nerves, bottle and emotion.
