Right wing ultra nationalists in Germany are on 9% in their polls.
Ukrainian ultra nationalists received less than 3% in last election.
We need to refute this lie that Ukraine is a country full of fascists.April 26, 2022 at 19:08 #1595725I don’t know if you’re trying to be offensive Clive, but your hostility is
uncalled for on this forum.Firstly I was quoting what happened at the meeting, which means quoting what
Larov and Gutteres said. You don’t quote with a straight face or when rolling
about the floor, you just quote. That’s what was said at the meeting.Lavrov also, in the meeting, described the meeting of EU and NATO countries in
Germany, excluding Russia as “an alarm bell for the UN”. That’s what the man said,
if it doesn’t suit you and you don’t want to know what went on at the meeting,
then don’t read it, and stop being so rude !I gave my opinion of the meeting which was that nothing was achieved. What is it
that you’re actually disagreeing with ?
———————————————–
Clive “There are times when what you are dealing with is so stupid and irrational there is
no point in doing so and that applies to lavrov.”
———————————————-Your sentence doesn’t even make sense.
————————————————-
Clive ” There is no starting point to his utter rubbish”
———————————————–What are you talking about?
April 26, 2022 at 19:20 #1595728“Big meeting today between UN Sec General Antonio Guterres and Russian Foreign Minister
Sergei Lavrov. It was a bit concerning that Lavrov warned NATO about the west supplying
weapons to Ukraine which could escalate into World War III. UK Armed Forces Minister
James Heappey said it was “utter nonsense” to suggest the West was provoking a wider
conflict.”I agree with you that he definitely has a point, we certainly are ‘poking the bear’ by supplying Ukraine with countless weapons. However I’m all for it, if it invokes WW3 and I have to take up arms then so be it, I’d rather we live in a world where we stand up to a bully, instead of allowing him to kill thousands and thousands of innocent civilians just because he believes their land should be his.
F*** that, not on my watch!
April 26, 2022 at 19:21 #1595729BigG,
If Russia gets its hands on Odessa it’ll cut Ukraine off from the Black Sea (vitally important for Ukraine’s economic future)… And Putin may then find the Moldovan ports tempting, using the same “protecting people” rubbish they used for going into Ukraine. Therefore, NATO / EU have to give Ukraine the weapons which also puts pressure on Russia to do a deal.On the other hand it is in Putin’s best interests to talk up the chance of “nuclear war”, trying to discourage NATO /EU from giving more weapons. But the thing is Putin’s Russia is having a hard job with dealing with Ukraine, it is hardly now going to declare war on NATO / Europe… and NATO knows this.
Lavrov is full of words.
Value Is EverythingApril 26, 2022 at 19:28 #1595733I explained it perfectly Bigg. You seem to be giving a lot of serious attention to a clown who’s stating that the un is to protect states sovereignties whilst overseeing an invasion and annexation of a sovereign state.
What next? Jimmy savile on childcare?
April 26, 2022 at 19:28 #1595734With Germany supplying more arms what Russia may try is cutting off Germany’s power.
Value Is EverythingApril 26, 2022 at 19:34 #1595738I agree with you Ben, I don’t think we have any option but to help
Ukraine. The consequences could be grim but you can’t leave a nation
to get overrun and slaughtered. Whatever the outcome, it’s just the
right thing to do.If peace talks can’t be constructive, and there’s no sign of this,
then I don’t know the outcome of this.April 26, 2022 at 19:37 #1595742Germany has been very cautious ging (too much many will say ) and they have surely factored that in
Well Bigg. We are all generally in agreement then
April 27, 2022 at 01:21 #1595788Well that’s good of you Clive, considering my 1st post and last post on the
events of today state exactly the same. We supply the Ukraine with weapons
and training and give them the best chance to defend their country. We don’t
renege on our promises because of threats, regardless of the consequences.April 27, 2022 at 11:12 #1595808No long range nuclear strike on Kviv. If it did happen they would remove his pipes and the world would view the bully in a totally different light.
Of course Reagan tried to stop the gas line from Siberia to Germany but Europe, including Mags, told him to Faff off ( she said it nicely though)….If only he’d got his guns out way back in 81.
April 27, 2022 at 13:19 #1595820Russia cuts off gas to both Poland and Bulgaria.
Value Is EverythingApril 27, 2022 at 13:24 #1595822“Germany has been very cautious ginge (too much many will say ) and they have surely factored that in”.
—————————
Am sure Germany has factored the chances of Putin cutting off energy supplies, Clive; doesn’t mean Russia won’t try it though.
Value Is EverythingApril 27, 2022 at 17:01 #1595859No
Not the chances.
What they will do in the eventuality of it happening. Its clearly been factored in
April 28, 2022 at 09:08 #1595935There’s Putin saying any country that strategically helps Ukraine by any means will be dealt with ‘instantaneously’, and Truss saying getting rid of Russia out of Ukraine.
Something’s gotta give!
Putin’s saying, reckons all decisions of that nature have been discussed and agreed, so can only assume he means a missile attack to bring those countries into the war and de-stabilise further.
Sorry but I can’t see a way out of this now, it’s going to take some kind of miracle.
I live less than a mile away from large oil and gas installations so kind of expecting we could be at risk as a target.
When it comes, it’ll seemingly come from nowhere and our world forever will have completely changed in a matter of seconds.
Of course I hope I’m f…… totally wrong and talking out my backside.
Let’s hope eh!April 28, 2022 at 09:46 #1595938And these predictions that the war ‘could’ go on for years.
I doubt that.In a game of pontoon it feels like stick or twist. At the moment we are generally sticking, but when do we twist when we have to.
Putin will push the ‘boundaries’ further and as much as he can. Just when do the west do something he considers OTT and using his words he retaliates.
If you hear what he is saying now we are already in that twist territory, it’s a final warning to back off now but appears this end no one is going to change track.
I’m sort of expecting a missile, without warning, and day into night in seconds.
April 28, 2022 at 09:59 #1595939Meanwhile on Russian state TV: hosts and panelists giggling uncontrollably, while discussing nuclear strikes against the continental territory of the United States. Can you imagine any of our prominent media anchors laughing at the idea of destroying cities? Watch this: pic.twitter.com/uOp7MaBh9K

There are definite indications that the majority of the Russian public want wmd used against the west. This isn’t the only media clip calling for nuclear strikes
I also believe there is a possibility but not a probability it will happen
There are many media anchors powerfully calling for Armageddon and the Russian public are being primed for this daily
Would be interested in the views of those trump/corbyn supporters cheering russias attacks on now. Or perhaps not. Would rather just baseball bat them instead
And isn’t the long known fact that the extreme left and the facist right are exactly the same people proven so emphatically now
April 28, 2022 at 10:15 #1595940Exactly, politics is a circle, not a spectrum. Start out in the middle and head left or right and you’ll eventually meet at the other side.
