February 26, 2022 at 08:50 #1584825Putin is like the drunk cowboy throwing his chips at the roulette wheel while blaming the world for the position he finds himself in , it may well be a longer game than that but he,s going to end up as the loser in the long run
February 26, 2022 at 09:06 #1584828That’s the ‘thing’, will he accept being a loser?
He might say if I can’t win, nor can you.February 26, 2022 at 09:58 #1584831Chris Bryant, Labour MP for Rhonnda, has suggested that all footballers should use yellow and blue laces this weekend to show support for Ukraine.
Great idea. I am sure that will give Putin plenty to think about.
February 26, 2022 at 10:13 #1584836I havé no problem with gestures of support. Does anyone else?

February 26, 2022 at 10:24 #1584841And finally some filth
I would show support for Ukraine by giving this worm a kicking to within an inch of his life.
Just saying

February 26, 2022 at 10:30 #1584844Those thirteen Ukrainian border guards who told the warship to go f*** itself, knowing that they would be blown to smithereens, will surely go down as national heroes.

February 26, 2022 at 10:42 #1584845Gestures of support, however small, are fine and I’m sure the Ukrainians appreciate them
However, I do worry that by cheering on their seemingly mighty resistance to the invasion we are inadvertantly encouraging a horrendous scale of death and bloodshed, as it seems inconceivable to me that the relatively puny Ukrainian army and brave bands of untrained civilian militia can over anything but the short term resist the force of the world’s largest army equipped with ‘state of the art’ ordnance. The fiercer the resistance, the bigger the force, the bigger the guns, the bigger the bombs
Warfare on the alien mountain fastnesses of Afghanistan the locals knew like the back of their hands stymied the Russians; but this war is on the familiar Eastern European Plain they are accustomed to and are honed to the hilt on
‘We are with you Ukraine’ Honest, well-meant words but we’re not ‘with them’ at all are we?
The horrid could soon become the unspeakable
February 26, 2022 at 10:47 #1584848Drone I have to say I agree, although if our army and the US has and continues to supply the Ukrainians with all the top of the range tech then they may well have a chance.
Incredible footage from last night, my word these Ukrainians are brave.
February 26, 2022 at 10:52 #1584850I agree with Drone – given that the West isn’t going to fight alongside them, cheering them to their deaths seems inappropriate in the extreme.

It's the "Millwall FC" of Point broadcasts: "No One Likes Us - We Don't Care"February 26, 2022 at 10:55 #1584852That is a sad image. He should not have to say sorry for being Russian. He is not responsible for Putin’s policies.
It is like Harry Enfield’s character Jurgen the German, constantly apologising for his country’s actions during the war. Only tragic rather than comic.
February 26, 2022 at 11:09 #1584855Ffs
The Ukrainians are not waiting to see if the Empire State Building is lit up before fighting.
Totally patronising drivel
Time to dig and repeat a few earlier posts from this thread I sense ….
