No, but I do get the chilling feeling every time I see the Ukrainian Leader on TV that I am looking at and listening to a dead man who knows he is a dead man.

Russia has Vladimir, Ukraine has Volodymyr

Apparently the linguistic differences between Russian, Ukrainian and Belorussian is approximately the same as that between French, Spanish and Portuguese

That is, Ukrainian and Belorussian are fairly mutually intelligible but Russian is quite distinct from either

Unsurprisingly, a lot of Ukrainians can speak and/or understand Russian but not vice versa

Anyone else feel/sense that there’ll be an assassination attempt towards Putin at some point within the coming months?

Hope so. Even though it will be good to see how he goes in the 2022 Renewal of ID’s race, for the sake of humanity I hope he comes a cropper in training for the race.

When me and a few mates went to Kharkiv following Newcastle (football) we tried our best to learn some basic Ukrainian to impress the locals. Turns out the majority of them spoke Russian as their main language so we’d wasted our time. It’s the thought that counts I guess…

Although best described as primitive compared to Western Europe, Kharkiv was charming in its own way. Very sad watching the City burn.

Not sure if anyone watches his videos but theres a youtuber called Bald and Bankrupt who’s an English guy who spends his time traveling around the old Baltic states and has done lots of his videos travelling through Ukraine, seems like a lovely country with great people.

Been reading Putin’s plans are not going according to plan at the moment, apparently.

With him a confirmed madman now, do you think he will take defeat at all? I just can’t see him surrendering in anyway.

I wonder if he is able to press the button of just his own accord. If he is not going to win, no one is going to win.

They have to take him out!

Ive just been in Twitter too gsp and good sources are saying much the same

Its appears to be going pretty badly and there are strong indications why

    This is fantastic if so

A long way to go of course but I wonder how long the seemingly less than organised Russian military with seemingly low morale will keep to orders ?

Clearly the removal and execution of Putin would be a day for celebration and we can hope

    Although I suspect some won’t be …

    As for taking Putin out
    It could be done but
    I imagine he prepares and
cooks his own food or has
    a small coterie with special
favours who might do this and watch like hawks.
If he really is mad then he
is vulnerable – but that is
the big question – is his madness orchestrated? Macron
thinks he’s a changed person to how he was a couple of years back, but maybe Putin was putting on an act back then and hiding his true KGB viciousness. I agree with Ian he’s at an age when legacies are made. I’ve decided to take a few big gambles at my age now and create a new philosophy along the way – it’s called biscuit joy – Putin isn’t interested in cup cakes he’s decided to rearrange the world map. I doubt either of us will gain any cred from what we are trying to achieve, but there’s a difference – my objectives don’t involve body bags, rather biscuit packets. Who’ll have more fun doing what they are doing. That’s me cos I don’t have the stress of being on the world stage and the potential of failing BIG.

In the end it comes down to the simple fact that gamble beats Putin and the undeniable inference I draw from that is…
    I SHOULD BE WORLD LEADER
SO GET THE HELL OUT OF TOWN
    IF YOU’RE A BILLYNOMATES.

Schoolboy error from Putin to invade before the weights are even out tbf. B-)

    HITLER STILL STRONG FAVOURITE
TO SKIN THE REST THEN !

Fair play the Chinese just abstained from the UN Veto, they’ve probably got a hidden agenda but I’d like to think they’re just disappointed in Putin for going about this in such an overly-aggressive way, the Chinese prefer subtlety when it comes to war crimes and genocide.

gamble – funny you say that re Putin being aware of his own potential assassination, here’s a fairly old video of someone offering him a chewing gum and him turning it down lol, he’s not going to fall for these tricks!

And re Macron, given the last few days you’d have to say Putin was putting on an act and no surprise he chose the wet French leader to wrap round his finger.

Thanks for that Ben 😄 it was entertaining and shows that Putin the man that orders others to carry out poisonings is infected by his own brutality and has become afraid of his own shadow.
I spoke to a Pole this evening on the telephone who told me China will finnish ( :yahoo: ) this off in the end, and take Russia out – that is WW3 but speculation. I have my own thoughts but I keep them muted in the hope you all sleep well.
