Tomorrow we will see Champers on ice. Could be an interesting outsider here.
January 14, 2017 at 00:44 #1281891Yeah that race looks decent, a very competitive feat. Captain Chaos + Chef D’Oevre are nice prices.
January 14, 2017 at 06:49 #128190420 of the last 22 Champion Hurdle winners had a prep that calendar year
Only Don Poli in the last 50 years managed to win the RSA without a recent prep. Time For Rupert ( 7-4 fav ) Ballycasey ( Mullins / Walsh ) More Of That ( favourite ), No More Heroes ( 5-2, Cooper / Elliott ) have all failed in the last few years. There were plenty more and it’s something i’ve mentioned on here prior to previous renewals, so it’s not just a stat pulled off the internet.
Don Poli won his race in December, you’re backing a horse which pulled up in December and will attempt to defy a very strong trend. ” Zero concerns ” sounds ridiculous in such context, in my opinion.
But unfair mentioning NMH to strengthen your argument. He was in with a huge shout before his injury that cost him his life.
January 14, 2017 at 12:45 #1282026surprised there’s so much talk about alpha des obeaux on here.
tempted to say that if this small horse who bled last time out wins the rsa I will run up cleeve hill naked.

January 14, 2017 at 13:26 #1282042Ok, getting the birthday suit ready
January 14, 2017 at 14:04 #1282051American just won a Listed Novice Chase at Warwick, beating Champers On Ice. Our Duke beat American over hurdles very easily in a Graded novice hurdle race at the back of last year.

American was very, very good over his fences.
January 15, 2017 at 20:37 #1282276American absolutely jumped them into the ground. He has a massive chance of taking this on the back of that performance.
January 16, 2017 at 00:06 #1282311Watching American run yesterday at Warwick, he jumped very well, got into a nice rhythm which is a positive sign for cheltenham, however I thought at the end he looked out on his feet. I think he must be booked for a place in the RSA because so solid, but could see one or two having greater stamina.
January 16, 2017 at 21:31 #1282427Found another, Faugheen Dec > Festival when he won the Neptune.
That’s not the RSA, Zarks
January 16, 2017 at 22:20 #1282431No use pleasing some people ;)
January 17, 2017 at 20:07 #1282550Just topped up more on ADO – 20’s won’t last for long.
January 17, 2017 at 20:56 #1282555Very surprised to see Aux Ptits Soins last matched at 19. He must be doing something special on them gallops. Great news for me as he’s my insurance bet for this race.

PN loves him and I thought his performance given the prep in the world hurdle last year was very very impressive. I have APS to win any @ 14’s & 12’s
January 17, 2017 at 21:46 #1282561APS would be my choice in this, should have come on a bundle since the World Hurdle last year and is unexposed as a chaser.
January 17, 2017 at 21:49 #1282562Yeah I think he’s mustard but he wins me about £1k less than ADO and I have far fewer multiples with him than ADO. Just hoping he turns up so I can do the RFC.
