Ridenza was last in her last race and the horse Lovelier who was a really close 2nd had finished a length clear in a previous race over Celestial Object who was a similar margin ahead of Ridenza on Ridenza’s 1st race this season. The winner of that race Know it All was 3rd at the weekend in a French Group 1 against a decent horse called Watch It and other quality horses. I’m sure the effort of Ridenza LTO was nowhere near her true running and maybe she bounced in her 2nd run after a decent effort 1st time out after missing the Guineas with a problem.
This race is 7f which I’m not convinced about as I think a mile minimum would suit being by Sea The Stars and starting over 7f as a 2 y/o but at the price I think she is worth taking a chance on. They started her off this year in Group 3 company then Group 2 so rivals for this race don’t look to be in that sort of company although Silk Forest was 3rd 6l behind Magic Wand she gives my pick weight for age. Soul Search ran into Love and Alpine Star as a 2 y/o and did very well but her 3 y/o runs haven’t been as good, she did win one but as a 2/5 shot. Ridenza travelled so well in the mile race and looked to get tired very late on and when she bombed it was 9f so maybe that is why connections are going back down in trip. I’m reading that Cork is galloping track so that is a bonus. I’d be all over a win bet but with the poor last run and down in trip I’ve gone each way with Betfred going 4 places.11/1 RIDENZA 3.40 Cork £8.00 Each Way 1/5 odds 4 places

August 9, 2020 at 11:07 #1496662The going was far too quick for Ridenza yesterday so a poor bet with it being over 7f, makes me wonder why the trainer put her in a race like that..
Was going to leave today but Steel Bull has drifted out to a better price. The Lir Jet is a very decent animal so this will show us how good Steel Bull is at the moment. Up in trip but a powerful mover and quick going should help also looks more of a 6f than 5f horse to my eye although I’m no expert in that regard.3.77/1 STEEL BULL Keenland Phoenix £10.00 (Hills Boost)

August 9, 2020 at 11:33 #1496667I’m with you on Steel Bull today Nathan.
Best of luck.
This is harder than his last race but he looks progressive and his previous owner was talking of The Juddmonte so he’s held in high regard.Things turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...August 9, 2020 at 11:37 #1496668Paddy was offering 11/1 for both Steel Bull and Millisle to win today so had a fiver on that.

I’m on the case of cutting his online connection for next week but the damage maybe already done regard you getting through to the next round.
Good luck with the double Jac, also nice to see Earthlight out againGaelic Warrior Gold Cup Winner 2026
August 9, 2020 at 12:24 #1496673Not often Hannon only sends one horse up north. This one was a little slow out the stalls on debut at Goodwood and has been put dropped in trip to 5f which should suit as he pulled a fair bit last time. Hannons often improve from the 1st run and this a good opportunity for Riffaa Wonder to get off the mark

Great start to the day Nathan

Have put mine up on Club Meydan Thread.
Rob certainly got his timing right to top score in the Daylight..but I do love a challenge
more of a mountain to climb but I’ll give it a go.Things turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...August 9, 2020 at 13:03 #1496681I didn’t notice but Hannon infact has 4 runners at Thirsk..

August 9, 2020 at 13:09 #1496683Happy Power cost me a small odds treble in this thread last time out
This looks an easier race than that one through and was previously behind the likes of Limato and Spaces Blues(same distance). Anna Nerium is one I like but the going combined with trip could find it a bit too quick1/1 HAPPY POWER 1.40 Salisbury £5.00

August 9, 2020 at 13:51 #1496693Happy Power won so I’ll have a bash at the sprint over in Ireland
Millisle is a worthy favourite at this distance but if she is not on top of her game Speak in Colours can pouch as in good form this season and ever so consistent.4/1 SPEAK IN COLOURS 3.40 Curragh £5.00

August 14, 2020 at 17:01 #1497203Gold Wand non runner
I’ve been waiting patiently for Sacred and guessed that this will be the race she runs in. I’ll possibly go in again on the day if the price is similar as don’t want to stake too much now in case she becomes a non runner but don’t want to leave it either as I can see her much shorter on the day if many pull out

August 15, 2020 at 10:11 #1497279Misriff is the worthy fav and will enjoy the going conditions
Victor Ludorum should go in to and the small field could lead to it being a tactical affair which will bring him closer to the favourite2/1 VICTOR LUDORUM Prix Guillaume d’Ornano £5.00

August 15, 2020 at 23:37 #1497350I see Haggas has Born with Pride running tomorrow
Valia is 2/2 and has top French jockey and trainer on her side..
Born with Pride was far too keen last time and these French races can be run at a slow pace so unless Haggas has bought a magic wand and used it on her she could pull. The rain about won’t be a problem and I’ve had to have a small go8/1 BORN WITH PRIDE Prix Minerve £5.00

August 18, 2020 at 17:26 #1497641Jumping on the skybet offer
would be rude not to
Currently good going, I’m not sure if Sacred would want it on the soft side stepping up the extra furlong but she is still Ante Post fav for the 1000 Guineas, not sure about that myself she looks to have plenty of high cruising speed.2/1 SACRED Lowther Money Back As Cash If Your Horse Finishes 2nd, 3rd or 4th £10.00

August 20, 2020 at 11:43 #1498033Taking Paddy’s offer on the Lowther
the going is still in her favour at the moment although their must be a bit of cut in it. I’m glad its the first race as I hear it is dry and bright at the moment2/1 SACRED Lowther Money back as a free bet if your horse finishes 2nd, 3rd or 4th £10.00
