I agree Apalachee, it’s just the best week of racing.

In the champion Chase, I have bet Douvan, and I try hard not to bet at such a low price, but I just think he wins. If I’m wrong, please let UDS win, been such a good horse, and he’s maybe looking a shade overpriced

It’s a top class week of racing without a doubt but it’s no Cheltenham. Not even close.

Cheltenham is on another level to any other horse racing meeting on the planet imo.

i think its just the way cheltenhams broadcast, as these races are (given the elliot mullins title chasing situ) more competitive than cheltenham… this champion chase is just phenominal….

Cheltenham would be about as exciting as perth if it wasnt for the irish challenge.

I am going to take a flyer on True Self– I think the better ground will suit her, as shes quite a small mare…at the rescheduled fairyhouse meeting she was in the process of running a fair race, after having been off since January. I think the even better ground here will help her and shes off a nice low weight. No doubt, she hasn’t fantastic form currently but she’s worth a go for me.

Well done Jack, but I couldn’t back her at 12s. I found the race too competitive despite your great analysis.

It might be worth following you though….

Nice one, Jack. Flew home she did. Good analysis.

I’m not going to trust Douvan at 4/5 and have backed UDS instead. Good luck to all of you and hoping for the expected cracker.

Oi, Oi, Oi… get in UDS.

Not only that he beat the crap out of him, he also showed him how to jump!!!!

Wow – thought this may have been a race too many for UDS but he was magnificent today. Douvan ran well and was well clear of the third – not sure how well Min has run so hard to judge the form.

I think that was some performance by Un De Sceaux. Douvan really ran okay, but he was never as fluent as the winner. He still has his engine left, or at least a huge part of it, but he won’t be a match for Altior at any track.

Happy with True Self-cheers lads…..can’t believe the odds she went off, good amount of money on her!

UDS is some horse! when i typed that i thought the yielding would be too firm for him, but i still didnt change my mind when it rained..

Min was very flat, and jumped sketchy i thought. A very flat performance, but going to be a lot of them this week..

In the Novice Chase, the ground now has come to suit Shattered Love i’d imagine. She has had a few races in quick succession and arguably Monalee comes the much fresher horse. Monalee had Al Boum Photo in behind at the Dublin Fez and was expected at Xmas to beat Shattered Love, he was evens that day and is 9/4 or so now.

Both Shattered Love + Al Boum Photo have been fantastic over fences, and i will side with SL to reverse with ABP after Fairyhouse and stay the 3 miles better.

Jury Duty looks overpriced i suspect as well at 14s

That’s the most bizarre finish I can recall for some time. I still can’t work out what
    happened

Luckily I was on The Storyteller 20s EW. Can’t think of a more fortunate winner.

Hope that all fallers are okay and that the Championship race is still on.

Big swing there with Mullins about to pick up the win and now Elliott having the first three home.

Townend looked round before making that move, expect he will get a holiday for that – I bet Robbie Power had some choice words for him.

Well ………………………. I am not sure what to say to that!! I can’t even say I was unlucky with Invitation Only  And I am not sure what Townend was doing on ABF ??

    Crazy race!!
