planned on backing Raabihah @ 7/2 but I see two firms has priced up alpine star, haven’t seen any quotes of her coming here but just in case she does I’ll hold off backing Raabihah
June 30, 2020 at 18:32 #1492261she travels ista, pasquier picks up the ride
Shes a bet for me @3/1 a standout again for me
June 30, 2020 at 20:52 #1492271I’ve done Peaceful each way now that she comes here.
June 30, 2020 at 21:41 #1492274Has to be Peaceful
Disappointed she doesn’t run here but really didn’t want to see either herself or Love beaten. So leave Love to win the English Oaks and let this tough little filly win the French version.
JacThings turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...July 1, 2020 at 11:34 #1492313Raabihah a certainty backed ante post at 11-2
July 1, 2020 at 16:37 #1492353RAABIHAH 7/2 i got think she win it
July 1, 2020 at 20:02 #1492362Tawkeel goes for the Nassau at Goodwood instead of here.
July 2, 2020 at 20:59 #1492489Of course my dear Alpine Star doesn’t receive any love here as she usually doesn’t
,
but I don’t give a damn and keep the faith to her
By the way, does anybody know where her name comes from
?
She’s named after a train in Texas featured in “the Getaway” which the fabulous Steve Mc Queen got on after snoozing Ally Mac Graw was stolen his bag filled with the big money
July 2, 2020 at 21:36 #1492493Agreed Hein
If running she just wins for me
July 2, 2020 at 21:59 #1492494I’m not alone anymore
Let’s hope this French guy doesn’t fall asleep on her and that he knows what kind of Sea The Moon engine he has beneath his butt
July 2, 2020 at 22:51 #1492498I expect her to improve for the step up in trip and quite honestly I think she should be shorter
July 2, 2020 at 23:41 #1492501Hein, you must have misread my post, i was talking about alpine star @3/1, saying she travels, shes by far and away the best horse in this and will hose up
July 2, 2020 at 23:56 #1492502No worries Ham, I appreciate your post for another one being in our camp
!July 3, 2020 at 00:53 #1492508By the way, I really don’t understand the “Peaceful” supporters (sorry to my dear Jac!),
but what has she achieved so far
? In my (untrained) eyes not too much..July 3, 2020 at 06:24 #1492512Hein she was favourite ahead of Alpine Star for the Coronation Stakes but didn’t go. And she is a classic winner. She was a 5-1 shot with a couple of firms once confirmed so I thought she was worth an each way play rather than a win only on the two ahead in the market. There could be more to come. Just hope the ground is decent.
July 3, 2020 at 08:30 #1492516Hein you already know where I stand but quite honestly if Peaceful hadn’t been supplemented here (AOB team tactics) I would have been all over Alpine Star she is a very talented filly with a very shrewd and likeable trainer.
Peaceful for me has shown enough of her toughness and class for me to be in her camp wherever she goes. As Mike said she’s already won a Classic and in my own opinion she would have won The Oaks if she’d been left in. Looking forward to this.

We can really look forward to this cracking race and I hope my filthy racebets show it
I take the lads on with the Texas train Alpine Star
