Yes bad luck Hein so close.
Things turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...July 5, 2020 at 23:26 #1493016I’ve watched that race 4 times now FF.
I think SH pulled her back at the start of the race (maybe not the plan to make the running) and she got lit up and took a while to settle. He got her settled nicely again but seemed to keep her covered up almost boxed in until the last throws. Maybe not his fault but pleased with her finish .. she will win again.
JacThings turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...July 5, 2020 at 23:48 #1493022Seamie Heffernan Jockey set for over a month out as ban will not start until after 14-day quarantine. Séamie Heffernan is set for a lengthy spell on the sidelines after picking up a 22-day suspension for his use of the whip in the Prix du Jockey Club at Chantilly on Order of Australia.
Why didnt he knock lumps out of Peaceful ?
Colosus
July 5, 2020 at 23:56 #1493025Colosus..I think it would have helped if he hadn’t kept dropping her back and giving her too much to do.
She was more than willing to run the and the whip would have made no difference.
I hope anyone but himself rides her next time and with his lengthy self imposed lay off looks like they will.

You have analysed the race.
I just watched it live…once
It looked like Seamie wanted Tabors second string for Donnacha to win.
If it was a maiden in the Curragh I would be very suspicious but surely not the French Oaks !!!Colosus
July 6, 2020 at 00:51 #1493037It looked like peaceful got outpaced
Took her a bit longer to get into top gear than the others
July 6, 2020 at 00:56 #1493038Well Colosus it was so close at the finish he surely couldn’t have been riding to a plan I realise that..just felt she got hustled about at the beginning when she wanted to go on.
There will be other days.
JacYes just a bit late to the party again FF.
Things turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...July 6, 2020 at 22:26 #1493096Seamie definitely drifted right to intimidate the Rouget filly and then wasn’t exactly all out in the final furlong. Was very strange!
Think the trip was fine for Alpine Star myself, ground was quick enough for her though think she’d have preferred it slightly softer and the winner enjoyed the better ground being by Deep Impact.

I was joking, he got 20 days for over use of the whip on Order Of Australia.
It looked like Peaceful was coming with her run and didnt make it.
Sooo if you are going to be done for 20 days on a horse that was never going to win why did he not take the chance on the whip on Peaceful.
Colosus
July 6, 2020 at 22:50 #1493104And about Alpine Star: She’s a great and absolutely wonderful filly, but in such a close finish her rider just couldn’t compete with the by far best jockey on home soil, which is the mighty Monsieur PC Boudot!
July 6, 2020 at 22:56 #1493106Peaceful was going well until the jockey took a pull.
I’ve only seen it once so not sure if it was by design or a coming together but it certainly lit her up.
What was the official going.? I read soft somewhere but it looked okay.Hein and Colosus
can sort it all out at the Lockinge meet up
Colosus can swim over from Ireland and Hein swim over from Germany
They can smash lumps out of each other
Hein and Joni can go and bet lumps
and Colosus can buy me the 10 pints he owes me
Everyone’s a winnerGaelic Warrior Gold Cup Winner 2026
July 6, 2020 at 22:56 #1493107Indeed hein
I tipped alpine star to a few mates and ended the tip with i just wish Pierre Charles Boudot was on her as he’s by miles the best jockey in France
