It’s hard to separate Alpine Star and Peaceful and I think they will be fighting it
out at the 1m mark, but I’ve got great hopes that Fancy Blue will appear on the
scene late on and the extra couple of furlongs is what she is crying out for. She
was beaten fair and square by Peaceful last time out in the Irish 1000 Guineas,
but she was finishing better than anything in the race. I can’t see her being
out of the 1st 3 and I think that the 10/1 is a very generous offer.July 3, 2020 at 20:42 #1492580Best of luck with Fancy Blue Graham
Both our fillies sent across the Channel to compete here and take on Alpine Star but this is a much more exciting race than the Oaks in my opinion and you get paid 3 places .. Jac
Things turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...July 3, 2020 at 21:11 #1492585Could be the race of the weekend, and the race of the season so far.
July 4, 2020 at 21:30 #1492794July 4, 2020 at 22:36 #1492801Yes, I’ve seen the German version of it, but thank you very much Green
Sea The Moon is the only horse doing Germany proud, but of course we couldn’t keep him at home doing his business. Hard to accept, but Germany is drifting away to becoming a banana republic of racing
July 5, 2020 at 14:59 #14929103rd. That’ll do. Wd winners.
July 5, 2020 at 15:03 #1492911Another 50 yards and Peaceful likely gets up.
July 5, 2020 at 15:08 #1492912Yes Mike I thought Peaceful got bustled about in the early stages losing her place..if anyone able to rewatch would be interested to know if that was the case… Jac

Things turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...July 5, 2020 at 15:18 #1492916She stayed on powefully! Wd winners
Step back for alpine star seen it out well but the mile is more her bag! No excuses! Seen it out well just not as good at 10 as at 8
Peaceful got caught for speed and stayed on, she could very well end up in a leger also
Delighted for DOB, what a training feat so soon!
July 5, 2020 at 15:20 #1492918I don’t envisage Peaceful being sent to the Leger.
July 5, 2020 at 15:33 #1492923Thanks Jac, that makes up for my lost ante post on her in the Oaks. I’ve got
to hand it to the young French jockey, I thought she had been collared, but he
got everything out her on the line

July 5, 2020 at 19:07 #1492965Probably not mike, especially not if love or serpentine ended up there fit, but she definitely got done for speed and then motored home, 12f she would have won, so see no issue with poss going upto 14, but he has an array of options for the leger, a good few who havent really ran in anything yet also.
All that aside amazing result for donnacha, the front 4 are smart, but alpine star is different over 8f. Doubt she will go above that again.
July 5, 2020 at 19:16 #1492968Thanks for the link FF

I’m going to have a much closer look later but it was an exciting race.

Things turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...July 5, 2020 at 19:57 #1492970I was hoping they’d run Raabihah in the Oaks as I thought she would be better over further. Still fancied her for this (though didn’t have a bet in it). Least experienced horse in the field, she was stuck 4 deep for the whole race and fought her jockey all the way but still only beaten by about a neck. Better passage and she might have won and I reckon she’ll beat all of these over a mile & a half
July 5, 2020 at 22:25 #1492999I agree the trip got a bit wide for Alpine Star, a very good run from her though
