Well, looks like Gordon Elliot made entries for his entire Pertemps squad for Warwick this Saturday. When will these be assessed by the British handicapper? Can they get a mark without running and then use this mark at Cheltenham?

Yes DB they’ll all be given marks soon before he needs to declare.

Damn Bobby missed the 20s then. not sure i’ll bother now.

Dunboyne given 134 (5th in by far the best trial for this)

May need a small penalty to 100% guarantee a run

No odds available yet but the Gordon Elliot trained Ardhill is entered in a qualifier at Warwick on Saturday, think I’ll be backing it for its race this weekend. Won in a canter on his first trying start over 3m.

Yeah I backed it last Sunday was a bit gutted when it was withdrawn, was hoping it’d be a slightly better price this week as the competition is better, Vee Dancer being a similar type.

No Ardhill at Warwick. Only Sire Du Berlais declared out of Elliott’s nine entries.

Sporting John looks a very big price to me at 20/1, so he’s my first bet.

I like Sporting John too. Just taken the 20s (enhanced to 22/1) with Hills in the hope he heads here after a nice run at Warwick today.

Slow bike race for 2nd last at Warwick today I expect, apart from Riggs probably. Unless Ronan McNally is genuine about wanting to run the Jam Man in the Irish National rather than the final of this. Kevin Brogan claims 3. Might back him for today.

Very happy with that! Just hope they go here now, although maybe my bet on him in the Stayers is not so bad as well.

Very decent spin there for Sire Du Berlais, and the 20’s with Hills is holding, which I’m trying to resist.

You are made of stronger stuff than me VTC! Could not resist it and happy to have him alongside Sporting John. Have to think at least one of them will come here and have a big chance.

HDLG, SJ has helped me twice this season as well but he really let me down in between. You can never be quite sure what you are going to get with him but I always think he has a big chance if he is there at the last. He motored home today.

I’m desperate to bet him Cork, but I’ve already got my earlier bets on, so although one of my favourite races of the week, and certainly one of my bigger betting races, got to hold fire.

I’ve also got Flight Deck to bet if he goes, and I’ll definitely have a sentimental bet on Kansas City Chief on the day too, so could get messy.

I’ll probably bet him once I see the entries for The Musselburgh Qualifier, but either way, he’s too big a price, and I can honestly see him going very close. As I said, decent betting race for me, so if I miss the 20’s (which is likely), I’ll have a few extra quid on him.

    Good luck
