I need to get an ew ante post bet on Arctic Fire for the Ch Hurdle before tomorrow
January 24, 2015 at 23:32 #502816Still a wee bit of 25’s about moe, good luck.
No bet in The Champion Hurdle for me this year, that’s 2 years in a row.
January 25, 2015 at 00:08 #502819Jezki was my only bet in the race last year [ante post] so it’s often been a lucky race for me. I’m pretty clueless over most of the races this year; not sure where the season has gone…
January 25, 2015 at 00:20 #502821Rock On Ruby, in 2012, is still my biggest ever win on one horse, when I had him at silly odds throughout the year leading up.
Had the ill-fated Chatterbox last year, and Rock On Ruby this year, but can’t see anything else, so definitely no bet for me this season. I’ll just sit back and enjoy it without a bet.
I’ve noticed the last couple of years moe, that the NH season just flies past…..too quickly for my liking.
January 25, 2015 at 14:10 #502899Bob had In No Doubt put it up on my twitter. Was dissapointed by Cole Harden and Giant bolster
Any thoughts on grand national trail.Normally race goes to a horse who just got beat in Welsh national.Am thinking of Silver by Nature
And Giles Cross. So that points to BENVILLO but also think that race was his gold cup too.So not sure if he win it.Trainer got UNIONISTE in it to.January 25, 2015 at 14:27 #502908Nice one Darren
Yeah, put up If In Doubt as rock solid on The Skybet thread, but had Night In Milan 14’s, 16’s, 20’s each way, and Renard 25’s each way so really happy.
Worth noting for myself though, that’s 3 races I’ve bet on in the last week, where the obvious one has won…….Foxrock, Djakadam, and If In Doubt, have to watch this, and had Tea For Two as clear winner of The Lanzarote, but still managed to bet others

In The Grand National I’ve been chipping away at a few on Betfair. I like
Ely Brown
,
Trustan Times
,
Warne
, and though a 7 year old,
Shanpallas
. Bet a few others too.
There’s a few I’ve not bet yet, who’re worth a look, like
Wyck Hill
,
Night In Milan
, and based on his Sandown run last April, old
Burton Port
.
January 25, 2015 at 17:47 #502940Keep forgetting to back the Dude for the National. Got my Arctic Fire bet on this afternoon; thought they’d’ve suspended betting prior to the race in Ireland but they didn’t. No idea whatsoever about the National yet. Wonder if Little Glenshee will be in it [although assume she isn’t rated high enough to get in and it’s more a race for upwiththpace horses these days].
January 25, 2015 at 23:49 #502996There’s far too many of them to single too many out, but the Gigginstown youngster today,
Prince of Scars
really caught the eye. Travelled nicely, and then showed great attitude in the closing stages……I’ll definitely be keeping an eye on him.
January 25, 2015 at 23:49 #502997Monbeg is still 33’s moe, with plenty of firms, and he’s down a couple of pounds since his Welsh National 4th, that’s got to be worth a couple of quid.
Well done in getting on Arctic Fire, I see he’s as low as 14’s now, and best priced 20’s.
Little Glenshee is too low to get in as you say moe, and even a win in The Trial at Haydock next week, she’d still be too low in the ratings. Be great to see her in it though……just to see how far back she’d get, before sprouting wings
January 26, 2015 at 12:58 #503035We’re planning to take in a Kelso meeting in March so Little Glenshee might be there that day
January 26, 2015 at 16:33 #503058We saw her there the other year, that’s why I’m so smitten. We’d been told to watch out for Lucy as well as an up and coming jockey.
January 26, 2015 at 16:35 #503059What heights he and Lie Forrit were going to scale a few years ago
; it’s good to se them picking up a few races in their dotage.January 26, 2015 at 17:49 #503067moe, hopefully both of them, especially Outlaw Tom, have a couple of wins left in them
January 28, 2015 at 16:24 #503223Bob any thoughts on big handicap chases at Ffos las and Sandown at weekend.
RELAX at Sandown
As der fer at Ffos Las though like King Massini if he reuns too
January 28, 2015 at 18:46 #503237Put on a couple of bets for The 2016 Cheltenham Gold Cup.
I got
If In Doubt
added to the Betfred market at 100’s, and had a bit of that.
I also took
The Young Master
with Boylesports, also at 100’s.
January 29, 2015 at 14:10 #503323Not made my mind up on Ffos Las Darren, though swaying towards Gorgehous Lliege
, or Smiles For Miles
.Relax looks a big danger to all at Sandown, and if he can finish his race off, he must go close. I think they’ve got big plans in mind for Cantlow
, and it’s just a case of working out the the target? If it’s The Grand National, then he needs to finish in the 1st 4 here to qualify. He’s went down 12lbs in a year, and he’d be my main fancy. I’m hoping they can finish first 4 here, then head for The Pertemps. I keep looking at There’s No Panic
as well though, who likes it round here.An interesting runner, entered for both races is Soll
, who’s now with David Pipe. He really needs a win to qualify for Aintree as well, and I’m sure they’d love to go, so just a case of how long Pipe has had with him?January 29, 2015 at 16:57 #503349Silly me. I’ve just remembered that she’s by Terimon. I met him at Uttoxeter years ago and he had the prettiest head which is why I made a point of looking out for her at Kelso one day and found that she takes after her daddy.
