Bob am on GLOBAL POWER 6/1 got pulled out late at Warwick last month so see a big race from him
And KING MASSINI 28/1 He is rank outsider but see him running big race tomorrow of decent weight and Adam Wedge is good young jockey
January 30, 2015 at 19:21 #503434I’m following Global Power from one ‘not running’ race to another. Is this ‘the one’? I’d hate to miss out
January 31, 2015 at 01:48 #503468Good luck Darren.
I’m going to stick with Gorgehous Lliege at Ffos Las, and definitely add Smiles For Miles to the Exacta, Trifecta. Not made my mind up on the third horse, but it’s between Edmund Kean, and the bad news for you and moe……Global Power

I still like There’s No Panic, and Cantlow at Sandown. I’ll bet both of them, though prefer TNP for the win. I think a first 4 will suit Cantlow perfectly, but I’ll hope he can make the 3.
January 31, 2015 at 02:42 #503472I won’t get a bet on I’m afraid; just stayed up late watching the programme about Kraftwork so I can’t see me waking up in time to get to the bookies.
January 31, 2015 at 15:47 #503585Few who caught the eye today…….
Colbert Station
– It’s a long time since he got his head in front. As well as being put up a good few pounds for run of wins in 2013, he didn’t seem to be in love with the game. He has, however, showed a bit more spark of late, and ran fairly well today off 139, over a trip too short for him. For a horse who’ll surely get an entry, he’a available at a decent price on Betfair just now.
Join The Clan
– He did me out a big payday today, but I won’t hold it against him, if he can land a decent prize at The Festival. Really liked the way he went about it today, and even though it was with the assistance of a 10lb claimer, I reckon there’s more to come.
Ned Stark
– Needs to brush up his jumping definitely, but he looks a decent prospect for future seasons, with top end staying chases a real possibility. Wouldn’t rule out a big show at Cheltenham either.
January 31, 2015 at 16:45 #503598I’m a Game of Thrones fanatic so I should have been on Ned Stark. However, any other names from the series will probably have deflated prices as once a year racegoers home in on the name [no other GoT’s names around as yet but it’s only a matter of time]…Kraftwork may be on iplayer. Can’t say I agree that their music will be seen ‘as important as Mozart in years to come’ [?] but it was an interesting programme.
January 31, 2015 at 17:44 #503609Put it this way; I wouldn’t like to watch it with my granny
But it really is one of the best things I’ve ever seen. Filmed in Belfast, Dubrovnic, Malta and Iceland using ‘proper scenery’ most of the time. The characters and the relationships are mesmerising; the books were good but the producers have improved upon them..even the title sequence can be watched over and over again. I watch the series then rewatch with the commentary explaining how and why they shot it in certain ways which means I then have to watch it again. I’m trying to hold off from starting on series three because I know once I start I’ll be glued to the telly. Good job I’ve retired!January 31, 2015 at 17:45 #503610February 1, 2015 at 20:44 #503799Shouts out to vtc aka mr poster of the year. You win doing your own thing. Salute @ your unique ways.
February 1, 2015 at 23:34 #503826It’s very rare that I take an interest in The Arkle, let alone the next seasons, but I’ve had a few quid on Fascino Rustico for 2016 at 40’s. Also had a go at 200’s for The 2016 Champion Hurdle, but as he’ll be 8 then, and a Hales horse, surely fences will be on the agenda.
Fort Worth also added for The 2016 Champion Hurdle at 100’s.
February 4, 2015 at 20:05 #504117Your comeback has definitely been well received Wolf……….hopefully you’ll be hanging around a lot longer
February 4, 2015 at 20:16 #504123Grand National
Big disappointment as Trustan Times, and Shanpallas don’t get an entry for The National. Wasted a few quid on them, as well as Golden Wonder (out for season), and Minella For Value.
Made a few quid laying off a few I’d bet at big odds…….though I think the only one I mentioned on here was Golden Chieftain.
Was really looking forward to getting involved with a good few on my "shortlist", but they didn’t get entries

On the whole, a bit underwhelmed at the list of entries
A few I’ve been chipping away at…
Ely Brown 160’s to 280’s
Renard 150’s to 290’s
Cause Of Causes 130’s
Burton Port 110’s to 130’sand added today….
Sunnyhill Boy 100’s to 120’s
Vintage Star 280’s to 310’s
My Murphy 260’s
Broadway Buffalo 580’s to 600’s.I think Night In Milan looks pretty solid, but he’s never been a big enough price for me, and I like the look of Owega Star as well.
February 6, 2015 at 16:02 #504280Paul Townend/Rebecca Curtis combo seems to be doing well at the moment….
February 7, 2015 at 16:07 #504503It was on the Racingpost site today but I had picked up on it prior to that
February 7, 2015 at 16:15 #504505Last night I looked at Townends runners today thinking of an ew accumulator but thought Dormouse would be a spanner in the works; it’s just won at 8/1. To late now, though; everyones picked up on it. I was just surprised to see him riding so many English trained runners at the moment. Maybe he’s been doing it all season; I’m a bit out of touch.
February 10, 2015 at 10:52 #504922Mate unless i see a big handicap chase at 3ms no bets untill weekend for me
Any thoughts on national trail at weekend i like BENOVILLO to win it i do.
February 10, 2015 at 13:25 #504942Hi Darren, hadn’t planned on any bets myself this week, other than a couple at Kelso, but ended up with a spawny winner at 14’s yesterday, so thought I’d have a wee look today, but was really struggling. Took a chance on one of my "systems" horses, Simmply Sam. Also, and he’s 33’s for a reason I suppose, but he’s ran well at Ayr before, Too Cool To Fool.
Had a look at The National Trial last night, and it’s a real head scratcher, with also the potential to cut up, but might start a thread tonight if I get a minute.
I have though, taken a chance with Ballyoliver
at the 25’s, but there may be more to follow
…………and there is, I’ve added Lie Forrit
@ 16’s, and a small saver on Alpha Victor
