Stupendous selection in the context. Did not follow your guidance, though….Brilliant.

Thanks all, what a day. As I said, went back in for more, and I proper screamed him home.

    What a horse.

The rest were poor, but Tritonic was a nice enough return, also at 25’s, while Glorious Journey had excuses.

I can’t believe I turned on the racing late and missed backing Euchen Glen.I did see you’d mentioned him VtC but didn’t check out when the race was. Well done, though.

Pressure off for rest of season then. Euchen Glen put me miles ahead. Things have went very well since Day One anyway, and I can just enjoy it now, but for the first time in a while I’ve got the old problem of too many selections.

I’ve honestly ditched about half a dozen already, including Doitforthevillage, Garde La Victoire, Wise Counsel (laid back), Conga, and Chatez. I’ll bet both Wise Counsel, and Chatez in running if they’re looking in a position to challenge.

Regardless of the big win on Friday, this is a long list today, and if if it’s a washout, it won’t read well at all. I couldn’t cut anymore out, and pressure on.

    Newmarket
Big race of the day is obviously The Cesarewitch, and though I was fearing a weak renewal, it’s a decent enough line up.

Great White Shark and Dalton Highway, are both Antepost, and I’ll top up Dalton EW max places. Going to add Rock Eagle, he’ll be win only.

In The Dewhurst, I’ve got Wembley, also Antepost, though not as strong on him now. Hopefully get a run for my money though.

In The Boadicea, I have to stay loyal to Lady of Aran, who did the business for me last month, 40’s looked big. I’d fancy Conga to outrun her odds too.

    York
Two really strong races at York.

The 1435 sees Nicholas T as outsider of the field. Looked to be coming back to form last time, he’s below last winning mark, and this is his trip.

In The Sprint Handicap, I’m with Irish raider Laugh A Minute, after he really impressed in The Bold Lad.

    Chepstow
The Native River Handicap is always a strong race. I’ve followed Seddon since seeing him in the flesh at Musselburgh, though never bet him before. 10’s looked big. I’d liked to have bet Flash The Steel in a hot looking Silver Trophy, but I just can’t justify it.

On the supporting cards, Ash Park has been given a chance by the handicapper, while at Fairyhouse, Askann could surprise off current mark.

    1325 Hexham – Ash Park 20’s
    Free Length – Nicholas T 33’s Ew 4pls
    1440 Fairyhouse – Askann
    Native River – Seddon 10’s
    Dewhurst – Wembley 14’s
    Sprint Hcap – Laugh A Minute 25’s
Cesarewitch – Great White Shark 16’s
    Cesarewitch – Dalton Highway 20’s
Cesarewitch – Dalton Highway EW 8 Pls
    Cesarewitch – Rock Eagle
Boadicea – Lady of Aran 40’s EW

It goes without saying I’ll be laying off either beforehand, or in running.

Always great to get a payday from The Cesarewitch, and delighted with my old pal Great White Shark at the 16’s. She just gets better and better. Decent return from Rock Eagle in running as well, so very happy.

Money back in running for Wembley too, and Ash Park and Seddon were free bets too, more than halving in price. Smaller bets, but still important to get the money back, as it was the difference between a winning and losing day. Very happy.

Askann ran ok, but as for the rest, there’s not much to say.

    Thanks Nath.

Really happy with him today, and happy with my 50’s for The 2000 Guineas. Fingers crossed.

Thanks Jack, good couple of days.

Didn’t roll on to today though.

Very frustrating day, with Cape Gentleman winning, and De Name Escapes Me being win only.

Almost scraped a profit on the day through Scoir Mear at a huge price, and if I had taken Walk Away at 10’s instead of 4’s, I’d have managed it.

Although Romantic Proposal has frustrated a couple of times this season, she’s also more than paid her way with her win in The Scurry. She’s worth another chance here.

At Carlisle I like Pop Rockstar in a race he won last year, and old Halcyon Days looks appealing, for all he’s high enough.

    1335 Curragh – Romantic Proposal
    1426 Carlisle – Pop Rockstar
    1536 Carlisle – Halcyon Days 13-2

Not a complete disaster yesterday. Yes, Romantic Proposal was disappointing, but profits on Pop Rockstar and Halcyon Days, made it bearable, for all main bet was on Romantic Proposal.

Big day at Ascot, and already covered my selections in “Big Races”.

Elsewhere, nice card at Leopardstown. I’ve had my moments with Surrounding, and 10’s looks fair, while the 9’s for Melburnian was unreal.

Major ground concerns for Justanotherbottle in The Catterick Dash, but that mark is slipping, and I’d like to be involved in some shape or form.

In the finale at Ballinrobe, old friend Western Boy makes a rare appearance over fences. Any joy earlier in the day, I might chance him, but it’s fellow JP horse Nearly Namad who I like and I’ll bet him just now.

Champion Sprint – Chiefofchiefs 100’s EW
    Champion Sprint – Chiefofchiefs 66’s EW5p
    1425 Leapordstown – Surrounding
    QE2 – Escobar 100’s EW
    Catterick Dash – Justanotherbottle 18’s
    Balmoral – King Ottokar 25’s
Balmoral – Ropey Guest 50’s EW 5 Places
    1625 Ballinrobe – Nearly Namad 11’s
    1645 Leapordstown – Melburnian 9’s

Thanks Grass, gonna need it, same to you.

Yeah, same problem myself, down to 19 now, but got the added problem of waiting to see if anyone takes any of mine.
