The Rolling Multiple
as I am now going to refer to this bet and not The Rolling Yankee as so painstakingly explained by
Formath
.
Having already reduced the stakes by half I now have the
Joy
of two winners on the bounce which is a position I am not comfortable with. I have become a good loser with many years practice and have little experience of being a good winner. I now find I should have rolled my first winning stake from £4 to £8 but instead decided to play £6 keeping a further 2 x £6 for remaining bets.
My second leg has won thus increasing the pot to £28.50 and should play £14.25 each for the remaining two bets and so I am becoming
Stressed
at my own inability to do so. As said earlier I am only a very small player with ew doubles rarely exceeding a pound and become uncomfortable with larger stakes, even if some still think them small and pitiful.
My pot has grown to £28.50 but I must apologise to
Formath
because I am unable to continue as tutored and stake £14.25 on the 3rd selection.
After much thought I will keep to £6 each for the next 2 sequence bets making them
Rolling Doubles.
And now for the
Frustration
being so close to pulling off the
3 vs The Field
but at least I may be closer to picking 2 races from all available on the day which has been "bugging" me. I will stick to those with all 3 selections being favoured by the tipsters and ratings providing they are priced at 5/2 the fav.
Was it not Pompete who said something like the paydays are worth waiting for, but I guess they are not like busses and come along in two, threes or fours at a time.

Caution, caution, caution.
Pegasus has selected what I think may be a chancer with a very early price taken of 8/1 (10/1 with BetFred).
3.35 Lingfield SATWA LAIRD staked £3 each way (3places, 1/4) Best Odds Guaranteed Stan James
LOST
3 vs The Field
I am still experimenting with how to choose the best 2 races and having gone so close yesterday I hope I may have solved the problem but onlt time will tell. Again I have found 2 races where 5 of the 6 early favourites are tipped: –
Lingfield 1.50
Goodwood 5.30 Beauchamo Xiara 3/1, Count of Tuscany Nr,WON 5/1
9 x 25p ew doubles = £4.50 staked

Having banked a profit from the previous sequence a new coup/sequence start today with
Tom Pepper
(Sun) who is at present the hotest of the tipsters monitored.
I am a little dissapointed with the tipsters strike rate and have now included another which I hope will be better.
Today’s selection is: –
PYTHEAS 2.20 Newcastle. £4.00 at 2/1 P Power (Best Odds G’teed)
3 vs The Field
Yesterday was brilliant but todays races look a bit harder: –
4.00 Huntingdon

MUFTARRES 6/1, FOLLOW THE FLAG 7/1, SCEILIN 7/19 ew doubles with S James (Best Odds G’teed)
Formcast 4th fav’s
Recent selections have been a little thin on the ground but
Mulls74
‘s system has provided so super results and today has 4 selections.
2.30 Huntingdon ORCHARD KING 9/2
4.00 Huntingdon HUGUENOT 5/1
4.10 Leicester HUCKING HERO 5/1

I have not been following the racing too closely for the past couple of weeks – how has the system been doing recently?October 14, 2009 at 13:54 #253301The Rolling Multi
Following a bad day at the office yesterday without a result anywhere and todays work does not come easy.

6 ew doubles with Bet365 (Best Odds G’teed)
Hello Mulls74
I started 30th Sept. and have enjoyed 2 very good paydays the first paid a 169/1 ew double and the other one was 70/1 ew double and for my small stakes 20p now increased to 25p ew I can boast profit of £55. Some days it is hard to find a selection and then like today there are too many and just kept the 4 below 10/1. I cross check to see if the Mail’s 4+ fav is maintained with the ODDS CHECKER prices and make the selections from there, should it be 1st – 2nd – 3rd fav. with Odds Checker I drop it.
The each way I am not sure is proving worthwhile and may switch to win only but I will wait and view results further down the line.
I hope the profit can be kept up but it is a real fun bet and I do thank you very much for posting it.Billy's Outback Shack

October 15, 2009 at 15:17 #253461Another "Rolling Yankee/Multiple" idea.
Finding the HOT tipster to have a 4 bet coup/sequence to folow can be a risky business, hence
Formath
suggests following tipsters and running with the HOT one.
His original suggestion is the 3 from the Mail of which I have played around with, however with no form to follow I am trying out yet another variation which may be more simple but remains to be seen if more profitable.
I will start the new sequence of 4 following West Tip of The Western Morning News but with much reduced stakes of £2, £1, 50p & 50p just to see how it goes.
The idea is taken from the highest place Nap Table tipster with the longest winning run and currently West Tip is the highest with a 2 winning sequence, this could easily be a recipe for disaster because winning sequences must end and there may be suggestions to run with the tipster with the longest losing sequence but my money is following the HOT ONE. Once the sequence is complete the next tipster will be again the highest placed with the best winning sequence.
Who Know’s I might just win!

A new sequence starts today with a very short odds on shot which really is not me style . . .
however!
Gimcrack of the MAIL is the tipster following his odds on winner of yesterday.
Newmarket 4.15 TABASSUM £4 @ 5/6 Ladbrokes
Penultimate in the sequence for West Tip at a BIG price so it becomes an ew selection: –
Newmarket 3.00 TWICE OVER £1.25 ew @ 16/1 Ladbrokes
3 vs The field
Cheltenham 4.25 Keki Buku, Sangfroid, Cloone Stream
Wolv’s 5.50 Akbabend, Ethics Girl, Phoenix Flight9 win doubles with Bet365
I have dropped the e/w part of the bet and continue to use Best Odds G’teed layers as proved yesterday when 6/1 taken with ITHINKBEST but paid out 12/1.
Another small experiment taken from the archive of this foum which goes back quite a few years and will post them for a little while to get the feel of it and if proves sound will explain the details and name the author but do not wish to cause any embararassment at this time.
Catterick 4.00 INTERLACE
Catterick 5.40 SALEROSA

Wolv’s 9.20 OVERSIGHTED
6 small win doubles with Boyle Sports

I hope I have picked the correct 2 races today and had to choose from 4: –
Fontwell 2.00. LITTLE FIRECRACKERSouthwell 5.00. INGLEBY ARCH
, INVINCIBLE ISLE
9 small WIN doubles with Bet365
Yesterday’s disaster
with all 4 selections losing it is fingers crossed for an improvement today: –

October 18, 2009 at 22:32 #254142The question is: –
MULTIPLES – how to?
Thanks to
Formath
who managed to get this bandwagon rolling with his
"Rolling Yankee"
which to suite my own style has been changed to a Rolling Multiple.
The he followed it up with the3 vs the Field
system, he says they are oldies but it looks as if they may still be goodies.
Work still continues with differing experimentation such as The Naps Table rolling Multiple which has banked a healthy profit for the very first trial sequence and may be almost too good to be true.Mulls74
produced his Formcast double system which also has given up a couple of stunning pay-days and I will certainly continue with it.
Digging through the archive of this board has produced yet another possibility which drew a blank on day 1 but enjoyed 3 frame positions on day 2, maybe, just maybe something will come from it.But here comes the rub. Whilst digging through the board archive I found a thread of August 2003 a posting from a
MrE
regarding
rolling doubles
and what a winner it looks.
Just one selection each day staked at level stakes however, should a winner be enjoyed the winnings are rolled onto the next selection but not forgetting to also make the original level stake bet, which of course can be rolled on. Clarification can be made by going back to August 2003 and reading it in detail.
So, all that remains is to find a way of picking the one a day selection.ANY BRIGHT IDEAS?

October 19, 2009 at 12:37 #254224hi billion,i have been a long time lurker on this site without joining till now but this subject has really made me take note because like yourself i like to bet for enjoyment more than anythink with smallish stakes.i have followed the formcast system mainly while keeping an eye on the rolling yankee/multiple.one system i have off this site which i cant seem to find anymore is doing two lucky 15s but then putting 8 horses together in 28 each way doubles, the total bet cost £12 and i have been in profit every week bar two, anyway thats my tuppunce worth on subject, please keep posting your ideas and good luck, dave

I am a newbie here as well and so we may be able to all help ourselves, every little bit helps, after all there is plenty to go round.
Two LUCKy 15,s, someone must have athought on that one I am sure but I guess you will lose the bonus, does anyone know?I am getting a bit bogged down and for the time being will drop the new un-named idea from the archive and bring in
MrE
and his
rolling doubles
. I have deliberated how to make a daily selection for this and ended up with a non runner and so made a very quick Plan B which will be the
Daily Mail’s Formcast Special
selection.
The first leg of a Rolling Double
is: –
4.40 Pontefract, BLACK RAIN £1.00 @ 7/2 Wm HillThe Rolling Multi
Gimcrack’s selection is a Non Runner
Naps table Rolling Multi starts a fresh sequence and he table is not looking so hot and have dropped down to Jeffrey Ross of the Glasgow Evening Times and started with an ew selection: –
Plumpton 2.50 NUR TAY £1 ew at 5/1 Bet365Formcast’s 4th Favs
are: –
Pontefract 2.10 TRULY MAGIC 6/1
Pontefract 4.40 BLACK RAIN 7/2
PLUMPTON 4.50 PIPERS LEGEND 8/1
3 x 25p ew doubles with Ladbrokes = £1.50All 3 lost
3 vs The Field
Pontefract 3.10
WON
, KING OF SWORDS 11/2, IVORY SILK 6/1
Pontefract 5.40WON
, GILT EDGE GIRL 7/2, INTER VISION 6/1
9 x 30p win doubles with Bet365 = £2.70
I make it an 18.25/1 winning doubleBilly's Outback Shack
October 19, 2009 at 14:50 #254234billion,
I see you are seeking a win singles selection and I might have just the system for you if I can locate it among a drawer full of paper
. The only selection I could see today is Plumpton 2.50 Baily Storm (pity about the odds tho’)Also I have uncovered another multiple that you might wish to consider for your armoury. 9 selections by 3 from each of three meeetings in 15 win doubles. The basic format is:
1st race meeting A
1st race meeting B
1st race meeting C2nd race meeting A
2nd race meeting B
2nd race meeting C1st race meeting A
3rd race meeting B
3rd race meeting C3rd race meeting A
1st race meeting B
3rd race meeting C3rd race meeting A
3rd race meeting B
1st race meeting CEach trio backed for 3 win doubles = 15.
2 successful in any group means a winning double.
A winning double is guaranteed if at least 1 selection from each meeting wins.October 19, 2009 at 19:24 #254286Good afternoon
Formath
This thread is going to cause my head to explode. There has been some fantastic input, I honestly do not think I have ever been involved with a thread before with so much honesty and willingness to help.
I am finding a problem placing bets such as this latest perm via the internet, perhaps the bookies simply do not like them, even with
3 vs The Field
, 9 doubles, it is impossible to get it on with the likes of V Chandler, Coral and P Power (who suggested I make 9 different bets) and I have not yet tried them all.
I have to read these ideas a few times before I come to terms with them and will most likely be back to you asking more questions later on.
I look foreward to your other one regarding Win Single Selections . . . can’t wait, so please get busy sorting out your drawer.

October 19, 2009 at 21:59 #254325billion,
I have not been able to unearth the sheet detailing the old RL7 system yet. As I recall (we are talking 40 years ago
) the main principles were:Any non-hcap race (maybe up to 1 mile Flat, 3 miles jumps).
Where not more than 1 or 2 runners at the top of the card have been allotted greater weight than the remainder.
Must have won it’s last race.
Must be the betting forecast favourite (Racing Post?).Perhaps you can work something out from the above – there may have been other restricting factors, but nothing significant, such as 8 runners or more as I think it was marketed as a place only bet to high stakes, not sure though?
