Yes very sad Friday in Meydan Andre.

Have a great holiday in Vegas and hope you break the Bank. :good:

Will update Gdolphin scores this week, it didn’t turn out to be the best of Fridays but I managed 5O0 points.

Gulfstream tonight and9 Godolphin have 3 horses running…

    19.04 – Beautiful Love
    20.13 – Bold Act
    21.55 – Nations Pride

Had to have a Trixie and a Treble on these with single bets also.

Looks like it could be a good bet but nothing is that easy.

Just hoping for a bit of luck and bring them all home safely. Jac

Sorry Darren I did have a last minute bet in it but forgot to update
your thread. I had backed Thomas Detry who finished T15 but never looked
likely to get into the money and some other plonker who didn’t make the cut.
A memory lapse, I’ll have them in for next week, promise mate.

    Catherine (Tonge) – 1950 – 429th

Hello all I hope all you’ve wished for is working out for you all.
It’s early days and I’ve penned a poem for 2025 every year we have hopes and perhaps with that in mind this will be the year.
I’ve got lots on and a book in the pipeline my illustrator is busy trying to understand and interpretate my poetry abd the truth is as always, like a song the meaning is whatever the reader wants it to be. I written for the new year simply called Twenttwentyfive….
    2025
    Live poetry
    Walton
    Felixstowe
    Poet Dave O’Flaherty
    January 1st to January 2nd 2025
The coming year is now here……..
    TWENTYTWENTYFIVE

    New month new year.
    No worries, no fear.
    February’s soon here.
    Evenings lighter, sky clear.
March can be tough with weather still rough.
But spring kicks in winters soon had enough.
    Light gets stronger,
    Days get longer.

    April could be anything.
Green Leaves on trees the heart starts to sing. with all the joy warm weather brings.

    May is finally here.
And with it comes true summer cheer.
    Hot weather arrives
    Cold weather, you’ve survived.
    Comforts assured
    To smile smugley,
    you can now afford.

This was the time last year when things were not bright.
You’d been kept in the dark and there was no light.
Large projects suspended but this month put right.
The twelve reassembling having reached half way
Another six months as June steps onto the stage.
Seven new characters each with great tales.
Heart wrenching accounts of adventures won’t fail.
    Imaginations released inventiveness prevails.

July arrives and the weathers got hot,
the shells across Europe all over have dropped.
The peace we had hoped for was flawed was it not ?
About people’s freedoms we surely forgot.
If it happened to them then why not too, us.
That is what happens when politicians you trust.

August is glorious it shines in my eyes.
    The harvest is running,
    It’s fruit realised.
The food banks are growing as just like in the field,
the flowers I’m growing increases our yield.
The juices are flowing there is so much to write ✍️
    I just keep on going
    long into the night.

Now into September the month of my birth.
    Hell ! I’m getting older
    It does not reverse..
We know now to live life now, no need to rehearse.
The best one of the year, your birthday month always is.
I do prefer a pint but this time there’ll be fizz. 🍾 🎂
I’ll need to approach it from a new kind of angle.
I’ve come to the point where the cake can’t take all the candles!!!

October will breeze in with autumn fast coming.
The Indian summer this year is not running.

The winds of chance are no longer as subtle.
The seasons advance quickly like a fast running shuttle.
Batten down the hatches, don’t do it calmly, but scuttle.

November means Melbourne and deep meaningful frosts.
It’s the end now of loved flowers to cold weather they’re lost😞.
But this year alls well and it’s been a long running season.
You’ve had time to plan and fall back on your logic and reasoning .
You’ve taken good counsel sought eagerly from friends.
You’ve lent on their experience to do the many gardens you tend.
You’ve no fights on allotments no land to defend.
You’ve sought to avoid such conflict and work on development.
Your pen wields your sword now and with it you implement.
Many ways there are to skin a cat.
As a Suffolk boy you’ve always known that.

So Decembers arrived where did that year go?
Its all happened so fast that I don’t really know!
Fact is we are always somewhere it’s always a month.
Always look at where you are and then you won’t be stumped.
The weather has closed in and caught us again this year you’ll need fleeces.
As the prospect of damage from harsh weather increases.
and mulch much much more if your delicates are to remain.
You are still in your shorts and your good humour retained.

If someone asks you “where did it all go?”
    Just answer succinctly
“ Each month is the first month so I absolutely do know…..”

It’s a gift to us your poetry inspires and the truth you
write makes you wonder why many cannot see the truth and value
of life and love. They can sit in their warm offices and press
a few buttons and innocents are lost and people are homeless.

You point this out but happily you also elucidate the
good things that we have in common. The heat on your back
when sitting on the beach with hardly a sole in sight, bar
a man who’s collie is in the water, jumping for the ball.
I can spend hours there almost alone with a huge world in
    front of you.

With a book in your hand you are never alone and when the
indomitable Dave O’Flaherty releases his book to the world
I will spend many an hour with the sun on my back, the sand
at my feet and a beautiful book of poetry that’s in my world :good:

Hello to everyone I hope that you are all OK.

Just a quick update on the BONUS RACE for this week.

The above link should take you into the race, I have
not had any chance to examine tomorrows card.

I did have a e-mail earlier in the week to replace
Measured Time who sadly lost his life last week.

I now have 4 swaps left having used my first one last
    week.

    Many Thanks :good: :bye:

Thanks Nick, that’s a darn hard race to pick one out ante-post.
Best of luck with that one :good:

    Bets for Meydan

    1.30 Royalcorrespondent
He’s been moved from Ireland and ran a few that were better than
the results suggest. Trainer seems in reasonable form and it wouldn’t
take a lot to beat this lot. I might have been interested in Maputo,
but he’s got it all to do from stall 15.

    2.00 Mountain Breeze No bet

I spent too much time looking through the field for a hidden
    gem….there isn’t one

    2.40 Channagide 40/1 e/w Paddy Power
I watched his 2 runs at Chelmsford and Kempton. He finished 4th in both
but was the fastest finishing horse in both. If he could not leave himself
too much to do he would have been a lot closer. Transferred feom Marco Botti
to Lucie Bottie in December 24. He had a race 3 days later, bit much if you
ask me, but he lost it in the stalls and this time they have put blinkers
on him. He obviously needs to settle, but if the blinkers do the trick he
definitely has a chance. He shouldn’t be 40/1.
I’ll see how these go and maybe have another one or two later

I can’t see Mountain Breeze getting beaten Jac and good luck with the rest :good:

Wow..that was impressive from Mountain Breeze.✨️🏇
Let’s hope the other 3 follow suit.
The prices are only going to drop now so glad I got on early. :good:

That first race was so tricky Graham.
Not much available for points apart from the Bonus Race…I have First Conquest and Romantic Style in my stable so hoping they can get their heads in front….back later .. Jac :bye:

I got her race round the wrong way with First Conquest so he is next to run at 4.25.. :good: Fingers crossed. Jac :rose:
