Hope you got that good night’s sleep Graham and all set for another day.
You are a totally amazing person the way you deal with all the s**t that life throws at you and still manage to bring a smile to my face..
‘Snorkel’ 😂 I’ve got this vision now of you in full wet suit plus snorkel diving under the covers.lol..say no more ..thanks Graham xThings turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...April 27, 2026 at 12:40 #1764996Andre..Hope the craft fairs are going really well and great that you will be adding a stable to the Godolphin compy upcoming this week. 5 swaps a month should see us all racking up the points it will be interesting to see how it works out. No need for Bonus races although I do enjoy the challenge.
Thanks again for your good wishes for Dave and hope that you and your family are keeping well.Hope our Kings visit goes without a hitch although I very much doubt Trump will be able to keep his big trap shut..
oh hang on a minute though…
Any chance you have a spare Snorkel Graham 🤪😅
Jac x

April 27, 2026 at 17:18 #1765022In case anyone is interested have put up a Guineas comp for the three days hopefully some of you will enter
April 27, 2026 at 18:45 #1765039Saturday just about summed up my watching of jump racing over the past few seasons. Unable to watch my recording of it and relieved that I usually close my eyes when they jump a fence. Not sure how the Skeltons stable ( a stable I am fond of after Dan came to our racing club years ago)could carry on celebrating after the loss of Thiste Ask and my heart just goes out to his poor lad. What made it worse was that they’d cracked the 5 million aim in the earlier race so he didn’t really need to run. Seems to me that chasing records often seems to result in a fatality or injury ( eg Willie Mullins in last years Bet Fred).
April 27, 2026 at 19:19 #1765047Agreed Moe with everything you say which just about mirrors my Saturdays watching jump racing. Poor Thistle Ask a horse in a million.😢 Of course these tragedies play out on the flat but thankfully not so often. On Craven Day I was shocked to see poor My Mate Alfie being attended to at the winning post.
The horse ambulance collected him and he walked on but oh so sad..he didn’t make it. Needless to say it threw a black cloud over the day I couldn’t stop thinking about him.

We’d all be there to help you Graham..😅🤣
Things turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...April 28, 2026 at 14:42 #1765104There would be an awful lot of people willing to help you “place” your spare snorkel, Graham!!
The craft shows are going fairly well, Jac. Thanks for asking. They certainly help to keep me busy, that’s for sure. Has Louise done any shows recently? Hopefully Dave continues to improve. Keeping him in my thoughts.
I’m excited about the upcoming Guineas competition – it’s been a few years since we’ve had one. I have no doubt you will be looking forward to being there on Saturday, Jac. Hopefully you’ll find a few winners. I will, of course, not be able to watch the racing live.

Take Care Everyone!
PS: – Totally agree 1000% with you Moe. It seems to me that a lot of these recent horse deaths in NH racing are due to the greediness of the owners/trainers. It’s all such a shame. I always feel so bad for the stable staff who care and love these horses, behind the scenes, every day.
April 30, 2026 at 22:45 #1765393Lovely post Andre and regarding the craft fairs Louise is concentrating more on her photography at the moment so they have have taken a back seat.
Dave is a bit better still getting dizzy spells but not so many, he has a doctors appointment next week to try to get to the bottom of what’s happening.
Like you I”m so excited about the start of Newmarket tomorrow and the Raymo’s competition I think I have the first days hopefuls under wraps but just want to make sure no non runners in the morning so will put them up then.
Also the Godolphin fantasy competition is kicking off..can’t believe we get 5 swaps a month
that should see us all racking up lots of points…It looks a tricky day at Newmarket and lots of horses out for the first time also lots of all weather form and horses rising in class and distance.
I’m saving most of my betting money for Saturday and Sunday but fingers crossed for a few winners tomorrow..
Best of luck to all of us..
In the Jockey Club I’m going with..
Lions Pride 4/1 ❤️Any thoughts Nick or are you sitting Friday out?

Just feeling my way in and getting the losers out the way
A lot to find on the figures but was only beaten a nose in this last year and have a feeling some at top of market might not have this as their main objective for the season(well thats the theory)May 1, 2026 at 14:31 #1765450Can’t believe I forgot about the Newmarket competition…. just threw some first day selections into the comp and hopefully I can still sneak in and take a 10% penalty for Day 1.
It’s nice that Louise is focusing on her photography – I’m sure she is doing well! Hopefully the doctors can figure out what is going on with Dave. It all sounds very scary.
Have a lovely day at Newmarket on Sunday. (I think you said you were going for the 1000 Guineas)
Good Luck with all bets, Comp selections and the start of the new Godolphin comp. (With 5 swaps a month we should all have a good chance to score a lot of points)
Take Care Everyone
May 1, 2026 at 16:56 #1765484What a nightmare I had placing, or rather not placing, my
competition choices. Even then I hadn’t added the last race.
Thankfully Tracy gave me a heads-up. Bit embarrassing but I’ve
lived through worse. I’m getting my choices in tonight so I
don’t become a double eejit
May 2, 2026 at 00:44 #1765560Yes going on Sunday for the 1000 Guineas Andre & Nick so excited…
Just been trolling through the 9 races tomorrow for the competition and hope I do better than today.
What on earth went wrong with Lions Pride today Nick? I must admit I didn’t like what I saw of him on TV he looked a bit sweaty and a little unfit..he certainly ran as if he were carrying a great weight on his back…my bet😅🤣 another great day for the ‘Happy Haggis’ as I like to call him.
Lovely pick with Ancient Egypt 16/1 today Andre
and see Ancient Rome is out tomorrow in the 2.20.
Good luck with all your bets tomorrow I’m convinced we’re going to see the real
FIFTH COLUMN turn out in the 2 20.
I’ve played my Wellingtin tomorrow on
ASFOORA in the 2.55
as I absolutely love her and she has won for me before.
Graham hurry up and get those choices on for later today🤪 .. it took me all evening studying up just hope for one or two that come home.

KINGS TRAIL is my 2000 Guineas choice and hoping I get it right this time also wouldn’t be surprised to see
AVICENNA pick up a place.Back later with a few bets.. best of luck and thank you for all the good wishes for Dave..💞 Jac
Godolphin comp don’t forget you have 5 Guineas/Kentucky Derby Festival swaps to use this weekend.

May 2, 2026 at 13:56 #1765633I think the Irish horse, Thesecretadversary is a horse on the up
and has been a bit of a forgotten horse. Quite impressive last
time out, won going away from the field.3.35 Newmarket Thesecretadversary (generally 20/1 22/1 in a place)
