Well done with Convergent Darren :yahoo: the John Porter looked a head scratcher to me but he ran a great race for you.

Sorry didn’t get back about Fifth Columnn Nick as had family commitments and time just slipped away. I just cannot understand his run yesterday I would have said he had a great EW chance…however …
watching the replay Buick had to give up a lot of ground coming across to the stands side, while the winner Linwood had already bagged the dream position. I think it was game over for him from that point as he found himself behind a wall of horses requiring a lot of effort to make ground, and he did make up a fair amount, in quite impressive style if you watch him, but he was never going to win this one.
Big fat line under that run he’s much better than that. :good:

Hope everyone found some winners yesterday, I’m really going down a black hole at the moment, so taking it a bit easy with my bets.

Andre . Hope all going well with the craft fairs and that you are keeping well.

John..Are you playing the Godolphin Fantasy? I need to check out the start date. Keep safe and well.

Graham just keep backing those winners and bashing the bookies especially with those golf bets of yours..any more coming up keep us posted :good: Jac :rose: x

    I did Darren :good:

I wrote all about it on the previous page Darren..it was a fantastic day and great to be back but it was very hit and miss but I managed the last winner Royal Velvet and 4th Eminency, both worth following.
Enjoy your day at Sandown. :good: Jac

Lol that gave me a good laugh Nick, I had a look through them all at
Newbury. Albert Einstein did not a lot to impress me, but that said,
Ryan Moore was very tender on him, possibly a lot more to come. The
only horse at Newbury that Impressed me was John Gosden’s Water To Wine.
He was impressive and there could be big things going to him. The further
he went the better he looked. He’s one I’ll be looking out for :good:

Good morning campers. WTF is Big G doing up before 8pm?
Well I’ll tell you. My sleep test allows to stop breathing
during sleep up to 5 times max. I stopped 28/29 times per
hour on average. Mr Guhan said I should get a CPAP macine
for sleep apnea. I started 5 days ago and by the 3rd day
I woke refreshed and DIDN’T fall asleep once during the
day. That hasn’t happened in years. I have to wear a mask
and it recognises when I’ve stopped breathing and pumps
oxygen into my lungs. Talk about a game changer :yahoo:

Onto the important stuff now, with time on my hands,
and a much cleared head, I had a look at them at Kelso.

I’m a big fan of Sean Quinlan, I reckon he’s an underated
Jockey. It’s a family affair, his wife Lizzie(trainer) got
Rauzan from Eoin Doyle in Ireland last November. I bit slow
to come to hand (125/1 1st time out)but in his 5th race he was
3rd in a £20,000 race at Kelso and last time out he was 2nd at
3/1 in a good match with Kado Sacree (11/10 fav) where they ran
away from the other 2. He hasn’t been penalised for that and I
think he has a real good shout.

2.30 Kelso Rauzan 10/1 Paddy Power.

The other one that’s of interest to me is Erne River, who used to be
a darned good horse. He’s 11 now, and doesn’t run in the 140s that
he used to but he’s dropped down to his lightest weight on a mark
of 126. He also has Tom Broughton taking 5lbs off his back, has a 13%
win rate. If the old boy has any of his old magic left, 2nd to hitman
in the Graduation Race and finishing off a 4 timer when he routed the
field, waltzing in at wetherby at 1/2. That’s a few years back but he
should be as well as he can be after his last run after a couple of
    months off.

    3.30 Kelso Erne River 12/1 Bet365

    I’ve done an e/w double with Bet365 at 9s an 12s

Good luck if you’re putting your toe in the water today :good:

Good luck today, Albert Einstein I just can’t work the horse out and wine to water could be anything as you say
    Good luck today :rose:

2 days without broadband or WIFI !! It’s driving me mad. No laptop no telly and the engineer doesn’t come out until Wednesday afternoon. So I’m dependant on my phone, which I hate being stuck with. On top of that Kelso was a bit of a disaster for me. However, I am feeling better :good:

Glad you’re feeling better Graham :good: Just draw a line through Kelso it’s a difficult time of the year with the start of the Flat and the tail end of the Jumps season…the form just seems to have gone topsy turvy 🙂🙃
Ive been struggling past few weeks.

I’m just concentrating on setting up a stable for the Godolphin Fantasy Competition which opens for selections on Thursday. No idea who to put in it though..lol🤣😅

Hope to see you all there :bye: Jac x

    Broadband and wifi fixed :yahoo:

I’m going to take a chance on Fringill Dike. He’s had a good break
and is at his lowest rating and this is the first time Sean Quinlan,
who I’m keen on, has sat on him. Bit speculative but I think worth a punt

    3.40 Perth Fringill 11/1 Bet365

Well done Darren with your win and good luck today everyone :good:

An improved run but 4th get’s nothing back. He’s going to be cut another
couple of LBS, if Quinlan is up next time he could be interesting. Maybe
needed it after 185 days off

Damn. Thought he’d got third. However I’ve been asleep all day (had to get up early to have a steroid injection in my bad knee and now have to be a couch potato for a couple of days) and would have missed Harry’s amazing achievement at riding a winner at every track this year. Went to Jedd O’Keefes stable a few years ago and have fond memories of the place. There was a horse there that was being ridden by that cycling girl who switched to race riding for a while when she retired. The guy who was showing us round said he’d been quite a sad horse when he joined them but had really cheered up there; there were ducks waddling round the stables. He sadly was sold to race in France and I lost track of him. There is a very famous horse buried in one of the fields; might even be Dante? We had several lovely stays at Middleham until the place we stayed at went very bijou and upmarket and we couldn’t afford to stay there any more.
